Chapter 121
Chapter 121
The air froze for three seconds.
Elmer’s puppy eyes widened then curved into sparkling crescents.
Lioren’s cat ears instantly perked up to their highest, his tail stiff in midair. His amber eyes were first filled with shock, then overflowing with barely suppressed delight, the tips of his ears visibly flushed red.
Clive was silent the longest. For what felt like ages, he finally gave a soft “Mm.”
His tone gave nothing away.
But the tips of his pale ears, usually half-hidden by his hair, were brushed with a subtle blush.
Rafe held his flawless smile for just a moment, then let out the faintest sigh.
“Beast form,” Rafe repeated.
“Yep, everyone, shift back to your small beast forms,” Dora said firmly.
“Lioren’s already a cat, Elmer’s a puppy, Clive shifts into a snake, and Rafe, you’re a fox, right?
“Three-tailed red fox? Nice, I’ve never seen one before.”
She paused, then added, “For safety’s sake. These are extraordinary times, so we need extraordinary measures.”
Dora’s reasoning was airtight, she made sure there was no loophole anyone could pick at.
For the sake of the team’s safety, nobody could say no.
Five minutes later, there were four fluffy little beasts sprawled across the sleeping mat and bed in the rest pod.
Clive had shifted into a black snake as thick as an arm, his midnight scales shimmering with a chilling sheen under the night vision lamp.
Only his golden-brown slit pupils stayed as calm as ever.
He curled up in a corner of the bed, looking dignified, his forked tongue flicking out now and then to taste the air for scents.
Lioren was still that big silver tabby cat, claiming the prime spot to the right of the pillow. His amber eyes were half-closed. and his tail gently rested on the corner of Dora’s blanket.
Elmer was a round, pure-white puppy with adorable, rounded ears, he looked just like a tiny, fluffy white chow chow. His fur was so soft and plush it was almost magical.
At the moment, he was curled up at the foot of the bed, trying to make himself as small as possible, his tail wagging so fast it was like it was battery-powered.
Every so often, he’d sneak a glance at Dora, and if she caught him, he’d instantly hide his face in his paws, all shy and flustered.
Rafe had shifted into a three-tailed red fox.
This was the first time Dora had ever seen his beast form.
His fur was mostly orange-red, shimmering like silk under the light, and his three tails were soft and fluffy, gracefully tucked
at his sides.
Chapter 121
His blue eyes were crystal-clear on his fox face, just quietly watching Dora.
He’d settled himself at a spot just the right distance from the head of the bed, his blue eyes half-lidded, radiating an effortless elegance and poise.
Dora was nestled right in the center of the bed, surrounded on all sides by her fluffy companions. She was utterly bliss wrapped in their warmth and softness.
Clive’s scales were cold and hard, but when he curled up in a circle, it was surprisingly comforting.
Lioren was warm like a little heater, and his fluffy fur just made one want to squish him all day.
Elmer was a fluffy little marshmallow, and even while sleeping, he let out the cutest, tiny snores.
Rafe’s three tails were soft and plush, and sometimes, in his sleep, one would gently sweep across her hand lying on top the covers.
Dora closed her eyes, her lips curling up in a contented smile before she even realized it.
“Sleep now,” she said, pulling the blanket up and shutting her eyes. “We’ve got a long journey ahead tomorrow.”
Clive silently shifted his coiled body, inching two inches closer to her.
Lioren’s tail snuggled more securely onto the corner of the blanket.
Elmer stopped wagging his tail, his breathing growing steady and calm.
Rafe let out a soft sigh, his three tails curling together as he closed his blue eyes.
Outside the pod, the night in Zone 32 was still crawling with danger.
Inside, the warm lights dimmed, and soft breathing filled the room.
Dora, surrounded by a cocoon of fluffy warmth, slipped into a dreamless sleep.

Under the same night sky, in the heart of Zone 32, lay the temporary camp that Cassian and Wendy had claimed for themselves.
Cassian stood inside a hastily commandeered barracks, his expression stormy and grim.
Wendy perched on a basic army cot, tallying up today’s “haul” item by item, her face growing more sour with each thing she counted.
“Seriously, that’s it?” Wendy rolled her eyes, pointing at the floor where there were just some low-grade crystal cores and a couple of worthless mutated alien beast bodies lying around.
“Three Level 3 female Spatial Realms, and this is all they managed to scrape together?”
The kidnapped females shrank back into the corner, too scared to even voice their anger.
Their beast mates were being controlled by the Blackflame Trading Guild’s shadowy forces, Kael’s elite cronies in disguise. There was nothing they could do to resist.
Wendy took a deep breath, forcing herself to stay calm.
After spending the night with Cassian, her Spatial Realm had barely bounced back to Primary Level 3, but honestly, it still
couldn’t fit much inside.

Cassian ignored her complaints and asked to Jonathan coldly. “Any word from the teams we sent our
Jonathan shook his head. “We sent people in all four directions, but so far, only the northern team has reported back
“They crossed paths with three adventurer squads, snatched two Level 3 female Spatial Realms from them, and then hand was a bit better than ours. But they still didn’t find any mutated blueberry trees or crystal ore.”
He paused, lowering his võtte: “Cassian, there are way too many high-level mutated alien beasts in Zone 32
“Our guys ran into a Pinnacle Level 6 Venom Ankylosaur up north. Three brothers got killed.
Cassian’s brows knitted together.
He couldn’t shake the feeling that something was seriously wrong.
Zone 32 was spiraling out of control.
And Dora’s team was still missing, with no sign of them anywhere.
“Keep searching,” Cassian said, his voice low and firm.
“Also, post guards near the exits. Watch for any squads trying to slip out.
“Any squad with a Level 3 or higher female, don’t let them get away.”
Early the next morning, the sky was just beginning to lighten.
Clive jolted awake from his light sleep, his eyes flashing like icy stars in the gloom. “Something’s off,” he murmured.
At almost the same instant, Lioren sprang to his feet, his amber gaze locking onto the cave entrance through the rest pod’s small window, alert and tense.
“What’s wrong?” Dora jolted awake, instantly alert.
“The ground’s shaking,” Lioren said, his voice tense.
Rafe had already crouched down, pressing his palm to the floor. “It’s not an earthquake… It’s a stampede of massive
