Chapter 134
“W-What? You can walk through walls?” Dora’s voice cracked. “What kind of supernatural ability is that? You can actually walk through walls?”
“Yes,” Clive replied, his answer short and to the point.
Dora stared at him for three seconds before it finally clicked.
“Turns out the lock on my room is basically useless for him!’ she thought.
She clenched her little fists, ready to give him a piece of her mind. “You! You! You!” Dora shouted.
But before she could land a hit, Clive caught her fist.
With a quick pull, she tumbled right back into his arms.
“Morning,” he whispered in her ear.
Then he leaned in and kissed her.
This kiss wasn’t like the last one, no holding back, no hesitation.
It carried the lazy warmth of the morning, and the kind of closeness that only comes from sharing a bed through a wet season night.
Dora’s mind went completely blank again.
By the time Clive finally let her go, she was blushing from head to toe.
Her cheeks, her ears, even her neck were all flushed red.
Dora remembered that stormy night, the way they tangled together, and how Clive, who always looked so distant, was actually so intense beneath it all…
She dropped her gaze, lashes quivering, lips flushed. She looked just like a flower, freshly bloomed and kissed by the morning dew
Clive’s gaze deepened, his eyes smoldering.
To him, she was an open invitation, no hiding it.
“Dora,” Clive murmured, his voice rough with desire.
Dora looked up, meeting his gaze, and her heart skipped a beat.
Outside, the fog was thick and heavy.
Inside, the temperature was rising unusually fast.
Somehow, the curtains were pulled even tighter.
After a long while, the thick fog outside seemed to have faded a bit.
So long that…
Chapter 134
As soon as Dora reached the bottom of the stairs, she could feel four pairs of eyes locking onto her.

Elmer was sitting at the dining table, his puppy-dog eyes wide and round, staring at a plate of breakfast that had already gone cold.
Those ligirt brown eyes were glued to her, and then to Clive, who was casually making his way down the stairs behind her.
There was pure accusation written all over Elmer’s face.
“Dora said last night that nobody was allowed to disturb her!” Elmer said.
Clive gave him a nonchalant glance. “I wasn’t bothering her.
I was keeping her company.”
Elmer could only stare in disbelief.
Lioren was leaning by the window, keeping his human form. His cat ears were pressed flat against his head, and his tail wa lashing irritably behind him.
His amber eyes gave Clive a cold, hard stare.
Last night, he’d snuck upstairs to check on Dora, to see if the wet season had freaked her out.
But as soon as he got close to the third floor, he caught a whiff of that familiar snake stink.
Lioren muttered, his tone icy, “Stinky snake.”
‘Next time, I won’t play nice either, Lioren thought to himself.
Clive sat down across from him, expressionless, as if he hadn’t heard a thing.
Rafe sat at the dining table, gold-rimmed glasses perched on his nose, hiding the quick flash of envy in his blue eyes.
He picked up his coffee cup, took a graceful sip, and smiled as he spoke.
“Looks like you two slept pretty well last night,” Rafe said, his tone light.
His words sounded perfectly polite, but with that not-quite-a-smile on his face, it was obvious he was teasing, and definitely implying something more.
Lucian was sitting opposite the main seat at the dining table, even in casual clothes, he sat ramrod straight.
His pale golden eyes flicked between Dora and Clive, without a hint of emotion on his face.
“I’ve checked our protection system,” Lucian said calmly. “We’ve got plenty of energy stored up. We’re ready for the wet
season.”
Dora cleared her throat and took the head of the table.
Seven’s big eyes sparkled with excitement as it carried steaming plates of food to the table.
“Master! Lunch is ready!
“All your favorites!
“Barbecue glazed pork!
“Steamed Mutant Crocodile Meat!

“Garlic-Sautéed Lettuce!
“And the Wild Boar Trotter Soup you wanted last time!”
Dora gave Seven a grateful look, finally, something to distract everyone.
