Chapter 53
Dora slept straight through until early the next morning.
Elmer had come upstairs to call her for dinner the night before. She had answered him in a daze told him she was not coming down to eat, and rolled over before falling asleep again.
When Dora’s footsteps sounded on the stairs, the doors on the second floor opened one after another
Elmer stood in his doorway, eyes sleepy. “Dora, why are you up so early? It’s not even five yet
Lioren’s small figure darted out of his room. He rushed to Dora’s feet and rubbed his head against her leg
She bent down, lifted him into her arms, and said as she went downstairs, “No one has to make breakfast today I’m treat you all to pizza.”
Elmer trotted after her, eager as ever. “What’s pizza? It has to be good.”
Clive had already changed into a clean, fitted combat suit. He followed them downstairs with steady, unhurried steps
When they reached the dining table, Dora took out a freshly baked cheese pizza from the Spatial Realm, one portion for each of them.
She also brought out the instant coffee she had bought in bulk and made everyone a cup.
Elmer’s eyes lit up. “Wow, Dora, it smells amazing.”
Clive lifted his coffee, took a sip, and narrowed his eyes with quiet satisfaction.
Liøren dragged out a slice of pizza with his teeth. He took a few careful bites at first, then gave up and devoured it.
Dora alternated between coffee and pizza, looking deeply satisfied. “I haven’t had this in forever. I missed it so much.
Beyond the taste, all three males noticed at the same time that the food carried much denser crystal energy than before.
Elmer and Lioren turned to Dora at the same time, staring at her in confusion.
Elmer asked, “Dora, did you level up?”
Dora nodded. “Yeah. You could taste it?”
Elmer pressed, “How did you level up so suddenly?”

Lioren tilted his small head and looked at Dora with the same question in his eyes.
Dora felt heat rush into her cheeks before she could stop it “Eat. Just eat. Don’t ask. I have my ways.”
Only Clive kept eating in silence. A faint, almost smug look sat on his face.
Elmer and Lioren seemed to catch something. They turned in perfect sync and stared straight at Chive.
Dora changed the subject. “Later, we’ll make meat pies, burritos, and a few wraps. We’ll get all the food for the Training Zone ready today.”
Her words pulled Elmer’s attention away at once. “Sure. I’ll handle the dough.”
Lioren fixed Clive with a sharp stare for a long while before he looked away, thoughtful.

Is her upgrade connected to Clive?‘ he thought ‘What did they do the night before la
After breakfast, Dora took out flour, beans, cucumbers, eggs, spike–tusked boar meat, and several other impedie arranged everything on the table. The kitchen soon grew lively
Elmer naturally became the main force. He tied on his adorable paw–print apron and moved with practiced oged kneaded dough and seasoned the filling.
Each meat pie he shaped came out round and full, with neat edges that looked almost artistic
As he worked, he kept glancing up at Dora with bright eyes, waiting for praise. “Dora, what do you think of the burger1 added extra mushroom powder because you like it.”
Dora said, “It smells great.”
She was busy mixing essential spring water–boiled pasta with a little olive oil and salt for the packed hunches. When the heard him, she looked up and praised him with a smile.
Just then, Clive, who had gone to inspect the house wiring, entered the kitchen at some point.
He washed his hands and rolled up his sleeves, revealing his clean, well–defined forearms.
Without a word, he picked up a piece of dough Elmer had rolled out, added a spoonful of filling, and moved his fingers with swift precision. In a few seconds, a perfectly shaped meat pie rested in his palm.
He placed it beside Elmer’s pile.
He did not say anything, but the steadier shape and more refined finish created a silent contrast.
Elmer went speechless.
His light–brown eyes narrowed slightly, and his hands began moving faster. He tried to overwhelm Clive with sheer numbers.
Dora found the whole thing amusing, but she pretended not to notice the invisible sparks flying between them and called out, “Clive, the burritos need to be packed tighter. You’re strong. Want to give it a try?”
Clive came over when he heard her. He took the burrito from her hands.
His fingers brushed hers, and the touch carried a faint chill.
He lifted his eyes and glanced at her. A flicker of light passed through his gaze before he lowered his attention and pressed the burrito firmly into shape. After he released it from the mold, one plump, tightly packed burrito after another was finished.
Lioren was not idle either.
He hopped onto a clean corner of the counter and supervised with his paws.
Elmer leaned closer to Dora and asked what vegetables she wanted in the wrap. He had barely moved in when Lioren “accidentally” knocked over a small dish of vinegar. The vinegar splashed straight onto Elmer’s apron.
“Hey. You did that on purpose, you rotten cat,” Elmer said, pulling up with irritation.
Lioren turned his head away and licked his paw, wearing an innocent look that said, “The dish moved on its own. What does
that have to do with me?”
Dora quickly stepped in to smooth things over.
