Damian looked at her playful expression, his voice dropping lower. “Not enough.”

Isabelle kissed him again, parting his lips and tasting him. “How about this? Is that enough?”

Damian stared at her flushed little face, letting her kiss him. She was kissing him in public–her boldness was growing

“Still not enough. Get in the car. I’ll show you how to pay the fare.” He pinched her cheek, his eyes darkening.

Isabelle walked around the front of the car and got into the passenger seat.

Damian unbuckled his seatbelt, wrapped an arm around her waist, and pulled her onto his lap.

Isabelle was startled. Before she could react, she was half–kneeling, half–sitting on his legs, her hands on firs shoulders. The steering wheel was behind her; she didn’t dare move for fear of hurting him.

“What are you doing?” Isabelle asked.

“Payment first, passenger. Otherwise, how can I drive you home? Hmm?” Damian smirked.

Isabelle pressed her lips together, then placed another kiss on his mouth.

“Will that do, old driver?” Isabelle said with a laugh.

“Old driver…” Damian chuckled.

His large hand moved to her back, holding her waist and pressing her closer. “That’s not how you pay. Show some sincerity.”

Then he slid his fingers into her hair and kissed her with a hunger that left her breathless.

Isabelle shivered. His hand slipped under her shirt. She tried to stop him, pressing against his strong arm, but her strength was no match for his.

The clasp at her back came undone, and his hand moved to cup her breast.

“Let’s go home first…” Isabelle managed between kisses, a soft moan escaping her.

“Okay,” Damian agreed.

But he didn’t let go. His kisses trailed lower.

The front of her shirt was mostly undone by now.

When Isabelle couldn’t help leaning back, she pressed against the steering wheel and hit the horn. The sharp beep snapped them both back to reality.

In a white car across the way, a man jumped at the sound. The ash from the cigarette in his hand fell onto his lap.

“Shit…” He hissed.

The couple in the car remained oblivious.

Damiarr laughed softly, holding frer tight. isabelle buried her face in his chest.

They were still right outside someone’s house. Even though it was secluded and the windows were tinted, doing this in broad daylight felt shameful.

Damian withdrew his hand and carefully moved her back to the passenger seat.

“So, didn’t things go well? Why was the outfit sent back?” Damian asked

“Wilbur probably damaged it,” Isabelle said with a smile.

While talking to Beatrice earlier, she’d noticed Wilbur lingering nearby.

Maybe I’m overthinking it, but that seems like the only explanation.

“Kylie’s father is really something else,” Damian said with a cold laugh, starting the car.

“You know him?” Isabelle asked.

“Not personally, but I’ve heard things. I met him once at a business dinner recently. Kylie did the right thing by running.”

“You don’t think they’re a good match either?”

Thinking about it, the situation reminded her a bit of Blaze and Sienna.

“It’s not that I don’t think they’re a match. If they got together for the right reasons, fine. But when interests are involved, it’s different. Kylie’s father only cares about immediate gains. If they’re førced together because of some deal, there’ll be nothing but misery later on,” Damian explained.

“Is that why you never agreed to an arranged marriage?” Isabelle asked seriously.

“What’s going on in that head of yours?” Damian frowned at her. “Sounds like someone’s asking for trouble.”

Isabelle just grinned, watching him get flustered.

The car drove past the Crowther Villa.

Under the shade of a nearby tree, a white car sat quietly. Only after Damian’s car had left did its window roll down.

Smoke filled the interior. The faint red glow of a cigarette pulsed in the dim light, and a stream of grey smoke escaped through the open window.

Gary sat inside, exhaling slowly.

Thank god they didn’t stay in there too long, or I might have suffocated.
