Chapter 425 Keep Your Spirits Up
Bruce’s face flushed instantly
He wasn’t the old Bruce anymore. He couldn’t handle jokes like that. “Thank you. Diana.
I will like the way you used to address me better Diana said with a teasing smile.
Bruce pressed his lips together and didn’t reply
When they arrived at Collin’s house, he was waiting by the front door.
The house staff had been given time off. The large villa felt empty with just him inside. And it wasn’t just the house that was empty-Collin’s heart felt that way, too.
The only family he had in this world was gone.
“You’re here,” Collin said, forcing a smile. He glanced at Bruce in the driver’s seat.
Bruce said, “Hello, Mr. Dorfman.”
Collin didn’t respond.
“Haven’t eaten all day, have you?” Diana asked, frowning.
It wasn’t hard to tell. Collin looked like he hadn’t eaten. His lips were pale, his face lacked color, his hair was flat, and dark circles shadowed his eyes. He probably hadn’t slept much either.
Collin paused, surprised she noticed. “Come in.
Bruce parked the car and followed them inside.
The Dorfman Villa was quiet and still. After only two days without staff, fallen leaves were already gathering on the silent stone path.
The three of them went into the living room to talk.
Bruce went straight to the kitchen to make some food, figuring it was better than having Collin pass out on them later.
Isabelle noticed a wrinkled apple and an open, half-finished bottle of wine on the table-
Collin wasn’t a big drinker.
Bruce soon came back with a fresh fruit platter, casually pushing it toward Collin. He took

Collin looked at him.
He’s efficient.

Bruce made a single serving of pasta. While the three chatted in the living room-the mood heavy and quiet-he prepared the meal.
He also pulled some ingredients from the fridge for quick dishes later, then brought the cooled pasta to the dining table.
“Mr. Dorfman, maybe you should eat something?” Bruce suggested.
Diana looked at Collin. “Have some food. We should get going. Try to keep your spirits up. You can call us if you need anything.”
“Okay” Collin paused. “Thank you.”
The three of them left.
Collin sat alone at the dining table, staring at the pasta. It was starting to clump together before he finally picked up his fork.
That bodyguard really can cook.
Besides Linda, no one had ever made pasta just for him.
Today, someone else made it for him. And that someone was Bruce.
A faint smile touched his lips. A tear slipped from the corner of his eye and fell into the plate.
“Bruce, you didn’t poison it, did you?” Diana couldn’t help asking once they were back in the
car.
She was curious that Bruce would make a meal specifically for Collin.
“Mr. Cross said not to do anything illegal,” Bruce replied after a moment. “He doesn’t have a mother anymore. I don’t either. The day Mr. Cross brought me back, he made pasta for me. I thought Mr. Dorfman might feel better after eating some. At least he won’t starve.”
The three of them tell silent for a moment.
Bruce was more thoughtful than he let on.
You could dislike someone, but you should pick your moments.

After a long pause, Bruce added, “If he fainted from hunger, he’d probably just call you two anyway.”
Isabelle and Diana couldn’t hold back their laughter.
The car pulled up in front of Twilight Lounge.
They were early, but someone was there before them.
Anthony had arrived already.
Isabelle and Diana walked in, chatting and laughing. Bruce followed a few steps behind. hands in his pockets, looking relaxed.
“Mr. Stewart, as a favor. Let me toast you.” A familiar, pleading voice slipped through the crack of a private room door, reaching Isabelle and Diana as they passed.
Then they heard a cold, dismissive snort.
Both women instinctively glanced inside.
Diana frowned. “You know, sometimes missing out on someone is the biggest blessing.”
She nudged closer to Isabelle, grinning. “Come on, say ‘I love you. Let me hear that nonsense again.”
Isabelle just smiled and didn’t reply. She took one look into the room at Gary, then turned
away.
Gary had just raised his glass to propose a toast when Matthew Stewart swatted it away. The glass hit the floor with a sharp crack, shattering.
Gary’s smile froze. His gaze moved from the broken glass on the floor to Matthew, and that’s when he caught sight of Isabelle passing by outside.
A self-mocking smile twisted his lips. He poured another drink. “Mr. Stewart, let’s talk this through.”
Isabelle and Diana walked past more noisy private rooms and then found a quiet pavilion to sit.
“Let me check which room we booked.” Isabelle opened her phone to look at the details Damian had sent.
Diana sat beside her, giving her shoulders a light massage.
A server walked by, complaining to a coworker carrying disposable takeout boxes. “First time
