The Alpha’s Mafia Luna
Chapter 123
It started again.
That strange weightlessness, like my body had dissolved into mist.
I blinked–and I was no longer in Damian’s room.
56
The world around me was warped. The trees weren’t green, but blood–red. Their leaves shimmered like rubies under a violet sky, and the
wind whispered like it was alive. A battlefield stretched before me–silent, ancient, forgotten. Weapons lay buried in moss, and bones–so
many bones–peeked through cracked earth.
“What is this place…?”
My voice felt distant. Hollow.
I tried to move, but the ground pulled at me, as if trying to remember me. A low hum vibrated beneath my feet, like something beneath
the soil was waking up.
Then I heard them.
Whispers. Dozens of voices, maybe hundreds. Male and female, old and young, speaking in a language I didn’t recognize–yet somehow, I
understood.
“Crimson flows… through your veins…”
“Heiress… to the Crimson Line…”
1 spun, looking for them–but no one was there. Only shadows, dancing behind trees, too fast to catch. My heart raced.
And that’s when I saw it.
A glowing rune, pulsing faintly beneath the dirt where I stood. It was shaped like a half–circle, with jagged etchings–like fire fused with
moonlight. My breath caught.
I crouched slowly, hand shaking, reaching to touch it.
The moment my fingers grazed the rune-
A flash of pain tore through me.
A scream–not mine–ripped through the dream.

Chapter 123
And I woke up.
:
56
I gasped, shooting up in bed. My skin was slick with sweat, my breath ragged.
The room was still dark, save for the early morning light bleeding through the curtains. I reached up to my wrist, wincing. It burned. A
strange glow shimmered there–right over the faded bond mark Damian had left.
“What the hell…”
I swung my legs over the bed, grounding myself with a deep breath. Everything felt wrong. The dream… it wasn’t just a dream. My powers
-whatever they were–were shifting. No. Evolving.
And I had no idea what I was becoming.
A knock sounded.
I flinched, heart still pounding.
“Serene?” Mira’s voice came from the other side.
“Yeah,” I called out, forcing my voice steady. “Come in.”
She stepped inside holding a thin folder. Her red curls were damp from the shower, and she wore an oversized hoodie that swallowed her
small frame.
“You okay?” she asked, eyes narrowing on my face. “You look like you saw a ghost.”
“Something like that,” I mumbled, wiping my forehead. “You ever dream of… glowing runes and red trees?”
Mira blinked. “Okay, yeah, definitely not just a nightmare.”
She sat beside me, holding out the folder.
“What’s that?” I asked.
She hesitated. “I’ve been… digging. And I found some things. About your mother.”
My heart slammed against my ribs.
1 took the file with shaking hands. Inside were aged papers, symbols, even faded photographs–one of them looked exactly like me, only

older. She stood in front of a burning banner stitched with a strange crest–crimson wings wrapping a crescent moon.
“This was your mom’s crest,” Mira explained. “The symbol of the Crimson Line. Your bloodline.”
“I thought it was erased…?” I whispered.
“It was,” she nodded. “But not completely. A few documents survived. Turns out… your mom was part of a secret resistance. A royal bloodline fighting against the Elders in the shadows. They called her ‘the Last Flame.“”
My chest tightened. I swallowed.
“just wow. I’m sure she didn’t even tell my dad……
Mira said gently. “It was dangerous. Anyone who knew too much… well, you’ve seen what they do.”
My hands trembled as I pulled out a map fragment. Faded. Torn. But something about it felt familiar.
I gasped.
56
“I’ve seen this before,” I muttered. “This… this is part of my necklace.”
Mira’s eyes lit up. “The crescent one you mentioned that one Alberta delivered?”
I jumped to my feet. “Yes! I–I kept it in my locker drawer. Give me a sec!”
I bolted down the hall, heart thudding. The necklace. I needed it. Maybe it could explain everything–the runes, the dreams, the whispers.
But when I opened the drawer…
Empty.
My heart dropped.
“No, no, no…” I muttered, throwing things aside. “It was right here!”
Mira appeared behind me, panting. “Don’t tell me it’s gone.”
“It’s gone,” I whispered.
We both stood there, stunned.
“That necklace is part of the map,” I said. “Without it, we’ll never find where it leads.”

Mira’s face darkened. “We need to retrace your steps. Who’s been near your things?”
1 shook my head. “I dropped it here. I remember vividly after getting from naia’s I dropped in this goddamn drawer Stupid.”

“you have to just calm down. I know how frustrating it can be when we are getting somewhere and then it doesn’t turn out the way we want but don’t worry We’ll get it back,” Mira said, gripping my arm. “Whatever this place is… if your mother and her ancestors protected it, it must be important.”
My skin crawled again at the memory of the dream.
“Yeah,” I murmured. “It’s where the Crimson Line ends.”
And where I begin.
