The Alpha's Mafia Luna novel Chapter 54

Chapter 54

Little did she know how close her words were to the truth.

Across the room, I could still feel Damian’s eyes dragging over me like

a physical touch.

It was overwhelming how much he wanted me.

How much I wanted him.

I turned slightly, letting my gaze meet his across the crowded room.

He was standing with Elias, his hands in his pockets now,

his body

loose but his eyes deadly sharp locked on me like a wolf stalking

his prey.

His mouth curled slightly, just for me.

It was possessive. Dark. Dangerous.

And I felt my knees weaken.

Freya laughed under her breath.

I’ll leave you to him before he loses whatever patience he has left,

she said.

Then, louder, Go on, darling. Your Alpha looks like he’s one second

away from dragging you out of here.

I blushed again but didn’t hesitate.

As I crossed the floor back toward Damian, the music shifted to a

slower tune.

The lights dimmed slightly, casting a softer glow over everything.

He met me halfway, his hand sliding easily around my waist again, pulling me into his chest.

You should be careful,he murmured against my ear, his breath hot. Wearing red. Looking at me like that.

I shivered.

I’m not doing anything,I whispered back.

He chuckled lowly, the sound vibrating through my entire body.

You’re doing everything.

Without asking, he guided me to the dance floor, pulling me flush

against him.

His hand was warm against my lower back, his other hand catching

mine carefully like I was something rare, something fragile, even

though his grip was firm enough to make me feel branded.

We moved together slowly, our bodies brushing with every turn.

Every time I inhaled, I caught his scent something dark and

magnetic and male and it made my head spin.

He leaned down, his nose brushing my hair.

I can’t focus when you’re this close,he admitted, voice rough.

I can’t think when you’re in my arms.

Neither could I.

the

I tipped my head back to look up at him, and what I saw there barely leashed hunger, the need, the possessiveness made my heart

stutter wildly.

For a moment, I thought he was going to kiss me.

The world slowed.

The music faded.

There was only him. Only me.

Only the fire building between us, crackling and alive.

But then, a sharp buzzing broke the moment.
