The Alpha's Unclaimed Mate (Jason and Laila) by Caroline Above Story novel Chapter 352

Chapter 352

Chapter 352

Richard was no less irritable. “I find this utterly ridiculous, but if that’s what would make you comfort it.”

“I think we should go now,” I said, not wanting this terse moment to linger now that we’d all come to of agreement. “Alexa, perhaps we can speak later.”

“Of course,” Alexa was quick to say. She still seemed nervous, weaving her fingers together.

Taking Jason by the arm, I pulled him from the room. As soon as we stepped out into the hallway, the gu point behind us. Jason kept glancing back at them, his agitation clear. I knew if I didn’t intervene again, more direct way this time, Jason’s anger and frustration would just keep bubbling up until it popped.

Along the hallway were small alcoves that jutted out where the windows were. Tugging Jason’s arm, I we the alcove.

“What is it? Is something wrong?” he asked.

Partially hidden here from the rest of the world, I pushed myself up onto the tips of my toes and kissed hi

His reaction was instant. Humming, he wrapped his arms around my waist, dragging me closer. I opened r and he deepened the kiss, licking his tongue into my mouth.

Raising my arms, I combed my fingers through his hair. He broke the kiss, but only to tilt his head slightly attack my mouth from a new angle.

We couldn’t go further than this. The guards were close enough to know what we were doing, and even if the weren’t, this was far too public a place to allow ourselves to totally let loose.

We could go to the bedroom for that.

This was something else, just a temporary relief from the built-up frustration. And with how desperately Jas was kissing me back, how his fingers dug into my clothes, how he gently pressed me back against the wall of alcove to kiss me more intently, I knew it was working.

We stayed like that for a long time, trading kisses, only coming up for air every now and then, when we both needed to take a step back. My body was practically on fire, and from the heated way Jason’s eyes were taking in, I knew he felt the same.

If we didn’t stop now, we wouldn’t be able to. And this wasn’t the place for that. Or the time.

Unfortunately.

As we broke the kiss, I leaned up to whisper in Jason’s ear, “We should go back to the library. There’s something want you to see.”

I had a whole plan in mind, especially as we stepped out of the alcove and saw the guards trying their best not to pay attention to us. If that persisted whenever we made out, maybe we could use that to our advantage.

I wanted to show Jason the law section in the library, but without their oversight. If I led him there under the guise of making out in the stacks, perhaps the guards would turn away long enough for me to show Jason what I might have uncovered.

“Let’s go,’

“Jason said. He took my hand, his fingers sliding between mine, and smiled at me. The kissing raust have worked. He seemed much calmer now than he had before.

We walked to the library, and then gave each other longing looks as we went into the stacks. The guards each other and stopped just beyond the entrance to the bookcases.

I kissed Jason only for a second before pulling him further.

“What did you want to show me?” he asked.

“Over here, in the legal section,” I said. “There are all kinds of law books, including one on the pack’s or succession.”
