Chapter 305
Ian’s intense reaction completely caught Andrea off guard.
She watched him closely, her tone almost desperate as she pleaded.

With tears streaming down her face, Andrea sobbed, “Ian, just pity me a little. Think of it as repaying me for saving you. Can’t you just grant me this one small wish?”
Seeing lan react so strongly but staying silent, Andrea felt a wave of panic wash over her.
She nervously tried to test him, her voice shaky, “Ian, I ended up like this, all because of you. I don’t dare ask for much. Can’t you even grant me this one little wish?”
Andrea saw that Ian still didn’t respond.
She buried her face in her hands and broke down, sobbing, “Edward destroyed every bit of happiness I ever had. I’m only asking for help because I’ve got nowhere else to turn.
“If I’d known you hated seeing me this much, maybe I should’ve just ended it all with my kid abroad!”
Andrea ran out of the private room, crying and covering her face.
Mitchell quickly closed the door behind her.
Ian unhurriedly stubbed out his cigarette. “How’s that thing I asked you to take care of coming along?”
Mitchell replied, “The evidence is already at the station. The cops should be coming by soon.”
Without a word, Ian stood up, his face blank.
Ten minutes later, Andrea was out front by the road outside the Royal Court Club.
She wiped her tears, eyes glued to the entrance, stomping her feet in anger.
She’d run out crying like that, but Ian didn’t come after her at all.
Andrea paced around for a long while, feeling unwilling and frustrated.
When she finally went back to the private room, the waiter had already cleaned everything up. Ian was nowhere to be seen.
Andrea left the room, feeling utterly humiliated.
She was furious, embarrassed, and frustrated all at once.
In Andrea’s mind, she was Ian’s savior, and Edward had completely ruined her life.
Even if he was married to someone else, he should at least feel guilty, have some sympathy for her, and try to make it up to her.
Chapter 305
Andrea wondered, ‘Why is he treating me like this?
‘Where did it all go wrong?’
The more she dwelt on it, the more she felt something was seriously off.
She thought, ‘I really shouldn’t have stormed out of the private room like that.
‘Great. Just great.
‘Not only did lan not give me a clear answer, but I didn’t get his number, nor did I get a single penny out of him.’
Andrea yanked at her hair out of regret and screamed out loud.
More than an hour later, she returned to her brother’s place, with tangled emotions.
Her son, Clint, clung to her leg and begged for a hug, but she shoved him to the floor without even looking at him.
Hearing Clint’s cries, Andrea felt her frustration boil over.
Laura quickly helped Clint up. “Andrea, how does it go with Ian? Does he give you a check?”
Hearing the commotion, Andrea’s brother and sister-in-law came out of their room.
Melody hurried over and poured Andrea a glass of water. “Andrea, what did Mr. Hamilton say? When is he going to bring you to the Hamilton family?”
Andrea took the glass and set it down on the coffee table. Her eyes were still red, and she said. “Ian didn’t say anything to me except asking about that 20 million.”
Xander couldn’t help but ask, “Does he think you’re making it up?”
Melody nudged her husband aside and sat down next to Andrea.
Melody said, “Come on, if Ian really thought Andrea was lying, would she just walk back in here as if nothing happened?”
Andrea agreed with Melody in her heart.
If Ian had really uncovered something, there’s no way he’d just let it slide.
Melody said, “Andrea, Ian is super generous to his fiancée’s family. Did you tell him you have nowhere to stay? Did he offer to buy you a villa or anything like that?”
Andrea’s mind was all over the place. “I did tell him, but he barely said a word to me, and he didn’t mention making it up to me or anything.”
Melody thumped her chest, swearing, “Your brother and I both heard it, no way we’re wrong. Ian still has feelings for you. He even called off his wedding because of you!

“Maybe he’s got his own reasons and can’t get back with you just yet. Just hang in there and be patient.”
Laura nodded like crazy. “You know what they say. It’s tough for a guy to chase a girl, but for a girl, it’s easy to win a guy over. And to Ian, you’re his lifesaver!
“Just be bold and go see him more. If your nephews ever make it big, it’ll be thanks to you.”
Melody said, “Andrea, you saved Ian’s life, and his grandpa made your life hell. If he dares not take responsibility for you, we’ll go raise hell at the Hamilton family and at his company.”
Laura slapped her thigh. “Melody is right! Rich folks care about their image more than anything. If he dares to ignore you, we’ll make a scene and let everyone know.”
Andrea wiped away her tears and hurried to comfort everyone.
She said, “Ian would never just leave me hanging. It’s that stubborn old fossil from the Hamilton family messing things up. That’s why Ian’s got his guard up and won’t show how much he cares about me.
“But now that I’m back, I’ll figure out a way to marry into the Hamiltons.
“Once I’m in, all their riches and glory will be mine. I can give you guys whatever you want. I’ll send my nephews to the priciest schools and buy you the biggest, fanciest mansions.”
Andrea’s two nephews clapped excitedly, shouting, “Aunt Andrea, you’re awesome! We’re gonna live in a huge house soon!”
Laura and Melody were all smiles, absolutely over the moon at Andrea’s words.
Just as the whole family was lost in their dreams of marrying into wealth, a sudden knock at the door cut through laughter like a knife.
Xander opened the door, and a group of police officers stepped inside.
Everyone’s faces instantly drained of color when they saw the cops/walk in at this hour.
One of the officers looked around and asked, “Is there an Andrea Sherman here?”
Andrea nervously stepped forward, feeling a surge of panic. “That’s me.”
