Chapter 342
Andrea hadn’t expected the Jordan family to be so resistant.

Feeling guilty and embarrassed, she apologized through tears, “I’m sorry, Mom, Dad. I just blurted out the wrong thing in the heat of the moment. I didn’t mean it.”
Hanna’s expression turned cold. “So you didn’t mean to set up Mr. Hamilton? You didn’t mean to get pregnant by a married man? You didn’t mean to steal secrets from Hamilton Group?
“And you didn’t mean to try to guilt the Hamiltons into forgiving you right in front of us? Do you even have any shame?”
Andrea was left speechless by Hanna’s words.
She shrank back beside Astrid, crying, feeling utterly wronged and humiliated.
Hanna gave Andrea a disgusted look.
She turned to Astrid. “Astrid, the Jordan family is respected wherever we go. If you keep indulging her like this, she’ll destroy the reputation we’ve built up over generations!”
Gerardo spoke up, making his position clear. “We’ve recognized her as family, and we’ve come to the Hamiltons. When we get back, we’ll give her some money to help her get settled, but she’s not coming
back to us.”
Andrea hadn’t expected it. She’d just tried a little trick to get the Hamiltons to make up with her.
But the Jordans were acting like she’d done something truly terrible.
Seeing Astrid hesitate, Andrea jumped in before anyone else could speak.
“Grandma, Mom, Dad, I know you all look down on me and don’t want me here. I’ll leave right now. I won’t stick around and get in your way,” Andrea choked out between sobs.
With that, she got out of the car, crying her eyes out as she ran away.
Astrid quickly told the driver to go after her.
Astrid turned to Gerardo and said sharply, “Your brother passed away so young, and Andrea is the only child he left behind. How could you just turn her away?”
Hanna couldn’t help but protest, “Astrid, please don’t make this about your son. The real issue is Andrea. She’s just not the right kind of person. She doesn’t belong in the Jordan family.”
Astrid pointed at Gerardo and Hanna. “The Jordan family was built by generations of hard work, and your brother contributed to that, too. Since he’s no longer with us, Andrea has every right to inherit from the family and to live here!”
Astrid went on, “Even if her behavior is terrible, she’s still your niece. We haven’t even revealed her true identity to the public, and we’re letting her inherit half the family fortune and making her your adopted daughter.

Gerardo’s temper flared. “Mom, my brother was a reckless playboy his whole life. He never brought any pride to this family, just wasted money and made a mess of things.
“Even if he were still alive, he wouldn’t have the right to inherit the Jordan family, let alone some illegitimate girl with a bad reputation!”
Just then, the driver came back and said that Andrea had gotten into a taxi and left.
Astrid saw Andrea about to be thrown out and immediately grew anxious.
She snapped, “Go and bring Andrea back! If you can’t find her, then don’t bother coming back home.”
She insisted, “As long as I’m alive, Andrea stays here with me in the Jordan residence.”
With the tension thick in the air, Hanna reluctantly backed down. “Astrid, please don’t get upset. Let’s head home first, and I’ll send someone to look for her right away.”
Finally, the Jordan family’s car rolled out of the Hamilton Manor.
Inside the Hamiltons’ living room, Ian turned to Chloe. “Hang on a second. I’ll drive you home.”
Chloe didn’t even get a chance to refuse before Ian was already heading upstairs.
Just as Ian went upstairs, Patrick walked in.
Patrick pointed outside. “I just saw Andrea by the gate. What was she doing here?”
Mia scoffed, “Don’t even bring up that walking disaster.”
Patrick put his arm around Mia. “Ready to head out?”
Chloe quickly stepped forward. “Patrick, can I catch a ride with you?”
Patrick waved his hand. “Doesn’t matter if it’s on the way or not. Just say the word. Let’s go.”
Mia stopped Patrick. “Ian said he’d drive Chloe home.”
Patrick frowned, “Doesn’t matter who takes her.”
He was really just trying to get Chloe to talk.
A few minutes later, lan came downstairs. “Mom, where’s Chloe?”
Miranda replied, “She left with Mia and Patrick.”
Ian gripped the car keys tightly in his hand, saying nothing.
More than an hour later, Andrea found herself at a secluded courtyard on the outskirts of the city.
Andrea vented to Violet about everything that happened at the Hamilton Manor. “The Hamiltons never

respected me before, and now that I’m officially the Jordan family’s adopted daughter, they still look down on me. What gives them the right?”
She continued, “I’m the true heiress of the Jordan family, their blood running through my veins. So why are they so eager to push me out?”
Violet gave Andrea a stern look, trying to calm her down. “Andrea, you’re way too impulsive.”
Back when Violet was still in school, she went out drinking at a bar in town with a few buddies.
A young guy threw 3 thousand in cash at her, and she ended up sleeping with him that night.
She had no idea that guy was actually the second son of the Jordan family.
That unlucky guy died young, leaving Andrea as his only child.
To force her way into the Jordan family, Andrea even donated a kidney to Astrid. It was only after the surgery, during a routine checkup, that Andrea’s real identity came to light.
When Astrid learned that her kidney donor was actually the only kid left by her beloved youngest son, she was so heartbroken and shocked that she passed out right there.
It was like even fate was rooting for Andrea.
Violet gently reassured Andrea, “As long as Astrid is here, you’ll always have a place in the Jordan family. No one can take that away from you.”
Andrea felt totally insecure. “Mom, everyone in the Jordan family looks down on me. From the highest to the lowest, even the servants treat me like dirt. I hate them!”
At least her mother was Violet, not that farm woman Laura.
And thank goodness the guy Violet hooked up with was a rich heir; otherwise, Andrea never would’ve gotten this once-in-a-lifetime chance.
Violet fixed Andrea with a serious look. “Andrea, this is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. Your real father was the second son of the Jordan family. Half of everything they own is yours by right.”
Violet continued, “Astrid doesn’t have many years left. While she’s still around, you need to grab this chance and claim what truly belongs to you.”
Andrea wiped her tears away, her eyes shining with stubborn obsession and a wild edge. “Mom, just tell me. What do I do next?”
