The Billion-Dollar Divorce (Ian and Chloe) novel Chapter 344

Chapter 344

Chapter 344

Andrea got triggered by Margaret’s words.

With a poker face, she twisted open the water bottle and squeezed it hard.

The water splashed all over Margaret.

Margaret let out a scream and stumbled back to dodge.

Andrea called Margaret out, her tone full of warning.

“Margaret, I’m the Jordan family’s heiress now. The Goodwin family doesn’t even come close. So what if you’re lan’s fiancée? Trust me. It’s only a matter of time before he’s mine!”

Andrea tossed the empty bottle aside and strutted off, leaving Margaret fuming in her wake.

Margaret watched Andrea strut away, her back full of swagger, and she was fuming. “What a psycho!”

She whipped out her phone and called her parents right then and there. “Mom, I need you to do something for me. Now.”

Andrea slid into the cab, rolled down the window, and shot Margaret a smug look as she fumed by the curb. Andrea was feeling absolutely triumphant.

Andrea was now, at least on paper, the Jordan family’s daughter, and in reality, their true heiress.

If anyone dared mess with her again, she’d make them regret it.

Andrea checked her call log. Other than a few calls from Astrid, the rest of the Jordan family might as well have dropped off the face of the earth. She’d been gone for ages, and not a single message from any of them.

Andrea listened to Violet and headed back to the Jordan residence

When Astrid saw Andrea return, she jumped up, her face lighting up. “Andrea, you’re finally back!”

Hanna tugged Gerardo to his feet. “Now that she’s back, go tell the kids to stop looking for her.”

Before Andrea could even get a word of apology out, Hanna and Gerardo just sighed and headed back to their room.

Andrea held it all in, biting back her frustration.

She turned to Astrid, her voice soft and a little aggrieved.

“I’m sorry, Grandma. Mom and Dad said it was for my own good. I shouldn’t have gotten mad and run off like that, making you worry. Grandma, I know I messed up.”

Astrid nodded, clearly pleased.

“After you ran off, your three brothers and your sister-in-law didn’t waste a second. They rounded up everyone and went out looking for you. Even Sophie volunteered to help. Everyone really cares about you.

It’s good to hear you see it that way.”

Andrea hurried to say, “I’m sorry, Grandma. It was my fault. I’ll go cook dinner for everyone right now, as a way to make it up to you all.”

Andrea put on her sweetest act and headed straight for the kitchen, but inside, she was practically bursting with excitement.

Just as Violet said, Astrid was still the one calling the shots in the Jordan family.

No matter how much they disliked Andrea, if Astrid said jump, they’d all scramble to find her.

Since the whole family had spent the day out looking for her, Andrea supposed she could begrudgingly whip up a meal for them.

Once dinner was ready, Andrea personally went to call everyone to the table. Astrid couldn’t stop complimenting her for being so considerate.

Hanna said she wasn’t feeling well and would skip dinner.

Andrea turned to Gerardo. “Dad, I even prepared some wine for you. Maybe you could eat a little first?”

Gerardo replied, “With your mom still sick, I just don’t have the appetite.”

Andrea quietly stepped out of their room.

Just then, the rest of the Jordans walked in.

Andrea

put on her sweetest act and stepped forward. “Hey, there. Dinner is ready, I made it myself! Go wash up and dig in!”

Hazel, Antonio’s wife, leaned against his chest, pouting. “Honey, my feet are all blistered from walking around all day. It hurts so badly.”

Antonio quickly coaxed her. “Let’s just go upstairs and rest.”

Andrea shot a guilty look at Jude.

Before Andrea could say a word, Jude cut in.

“Andrea, Grandma treats you like her own granddaughter, and Mom and Dad treat you like their own daughter. They’ve kept telling us over and over to take care of you, but what do you do? You turn around and aren’t even loyal to the Jordan family!”

Andrea felt her chest tighten. “I honestly have no idea what you mean, Jude.”

Jude jabbed a finger at Andrea.

“When Mom and Dad scold us, we don’t even dare say a word. We’re more worried about hurting their hands than anything else.

“But you? You mess up. They say a few words, and you just throw a fit and run off. You don’t treat them like your own parents at all!”

He went on, “We spent the whole day searching for you, didn’t eat or drink, and Hazel’s feet are all blistered. You didn’t even bother to call home. You really don’t give a damn about us!”

Andrea quickly tried to explain and apologize. “I’m sorry, Jude. I know I messed up. I promise it won’t happen again!”

On the outside, Andrea looked all meek and apologetic, but inside, she was feeling pretty smug.

‘Ah, so that’s what’s got the Jordan family all riled up,’ Andrea thought to herself.

‘See? Even if they act like they can’t stand me, the second I leave, they all come running after me. What a joke,’ she snickered inwardly.

Eric brought Sophie over, his expression stern as he addressed Andrea. “We’re exhausted from searching all day, so we’re skipping dinner. You should go back and reflect on your actions.”

Seeing that nobody was willing to touch the meal she’d made, Andrea had no choice but to quietly walk away, her mood sinking.

As soon as Andrea left, the siblings quickly headed into their parents’ room.

They pulled out all the treats they’d stashed away.

Antonio made sure to lock the door tightly behind them.

Hazel opened up a bag. “Come quick! These skewers are fresh off the grill!”

Jude opened his bag. “This is missing a drumstick. Sophie snacked on it on the way here.”

Eric opened up two boxes. “Here’s the veggie platter you wanted, extra cilantro just like you

Sophie pulled two cans of Coke out of her pocket. “Dad, Mom, here’s your favorite.”

Hanna shot a look at Antonio, who was guarding the door. “Make sure no one barges in, okay?”

asked.”

Antonio nodded, all serious. “Relax. I locked it up tight. Nobody’s getting in.”

And just like that, Gerardo and Hanna were feasting at the living room table, digging in without a care.

Antonio kept watch by the door. Jude was sprawled out on the couch, playing games. Eric was zoning out at Mom’s vanity. Hazel and Sophie were snacking and sipping like champs.

Gerardo was halfway through a skewer when it hit him. “Hey, did you guys eat yet?”
