As Andrea crouched down beside Astrid, she started crying right away. “None of what happened at the wedding today is true. The Sherman family spread those rumors just to get money out of us.”

When Astrid reached out and held her hand with concern, Andrea felt reassured inside.

She continued, “Grandma, I know what happened today embarrassed the Jordan family, but it was all Mrs. Goodwin scheming behind the scenes.”

“Mrs. Goodwin?” someone echoed, confusion written all over their faces.

Andrea nodded, looking wronged. “I misunderstood Miss Goodwin before, and we had a bit of a falling out. Mrs. Goodwin wanted to stand up for her daughter, so she deliberately sowed discord between the Sherman family and me.

“And pushed them to demand money from me. I never imagined they’d cause such a commotion at the wedding over money.”

Gerardo couldn’t stand Andrea acting like they were all idiots anymore.

He pointed at her and said, “Forget about your personal drama with Miss Goodwin for a second. The fact is, you and Violet are mother and daughter. Your birth mother stole her best friend’s husband.

Andrea shot back, “That’s my brother’s kid, not mine. If you don’t believe me, just ask them yourself.”

Jude shot Andrea a look of pure disgust. “Let me show you someone.”

He immediately made a video call, and it was answered right away. On the screen was Leonard, Clint’s father.

Jude put the call on speaker and set the phone down on the coffee table.

Andrea watched as Leonard collapsed to the floor right there on the screen.

Jude asked Leonard, “Leonard, whose child is Andrea, really?”

Antonio chimed in. “Leonard, can you tell my grandma the whole story?”

Andrea stood there, frozen in shock.

So the Jordan family actually knows Leonard, Andrea thought.

Leonard spat out, “Andrea set me up so I’d have this kid with her!”

Leonard looked at the Jordan family and said, “Back when I was about to marry my fiancée, we were out partying at a bar with some friends. Andrea went after me and drugged my drink.

“After that, she vanished. A few months later, she showed up at the Hayes family with a baby in her arms, trying to force me to dump my fiancée and marry her. I just threw some money at her to make her go away.

As soon as the call ended, Leonard sent Jude the paternity test results for him and Clint, along with Andrea’s hospital birth records.

Jude pointed at Andrea and demanded, “Grandma, she’s still lying to you! How can you keep letting her get away with this?”

Astrid’s face turned livid with anger.

The rest of the Jordan family looked even more furious.

Andrea fell to her knees with a loud thud. “Grandma, I never wanted to lie to you. I only did it for the family’s reputation. If I admitted I had an illegitimate child, people would judge me, and they’d judge the whole family, too.”

Eric spoke up, his voice firm. “Grandma, the final decision is yours.”

Astrid hesitated for a long moment before finally speaking.

She took Andrea’s hand and said, “Andrea, it wasn’t easy for the Jordan family to get to where we are today. I can’t let the whole family suffer for your mistakes.”

Andrea shook her head, her voice trembling with fear. “Grandma, I’m your granddaughter. You can’t send me away.”

Astrid said. “We’ll hold a press conference to announce that Andrea is no longer the adopted daughter of the Jordan family. Starting today, she’ll be living elsewhere.”
