The CEO’s Regret My Ex-Wife is a Tech Goddess novel Chapter 111

Hearing this, Alaina froze.

What did he mean, "it's best if you don't remember"? Hearing that only made her more certain that something had happened between them.

"Don't distract me," Silas ordered the next second, dismissing her without even glancing in her direction.

She had no choice but to walk away, feeling deeply frustrated.

Stepping outside, she bumped into Zachary.

"Ma'am," Zachary greeted her.

He looked even more respectful than usual, which instantly confirmed her suspicions that something major had occurred.

"Zachary, did I get drunk last night? Did I make a complete fool of myself?" she asked.

Zachary shook his head. "Not at all. How could you ever make a fool of yourself, Ma'am?"

She furrowed her brow. "If I didn't embarrass myself, then why was Silas giving me such a terrible attitude?"

Zachary hesitated for a moment before finally answering, "The Boss is probably mad at me."

She was even more confused and shook her head. "That's impossible. You're always quick and incredibly efficient. You're just making things up because you're afraid I'll feel awkward."

"It's exactly because I was quick and efficient," Zachary said, looking utterly helpless. "If only I had been one minute slower." With that, he sidestepped her and headed into the home gym.

Alaina threw her hands up in defeat, deciding to let it go rather than torture herself over it.

Whatever embarrassing thing she might have done, Silas was the one who chose her anyway.

......

Meanwhile, in the United States.

Lily Summers headed straight back to the villa from the airport.

Ethan Harrington had sent her a message saying he had meetings and would be back late.

Feeling incredibly low, she changed her clothes and invited Hannah Miller out to a bar.

Once they arrived, she started throwing back drinks relentlessly.

By the early hours of the morning, Hannah and her boyfriend were ready to leave, so they called Ethan over.

Seeing that Lily was in a bad state, Ethan took the glass from her hand. "That's enough. Let's go home."
