The moment he dodged the pipe, he clenched his right hand into a fist and delivered a vicious uppercut to the thug's jaw.
A sickening crunch echoed through the room, accompanied by an agonizing scream. The thug lost his balance entirely, crumpling to the floor like a puppet with cut strings. He clutched his face with both hands, blood spilling from his mouth, completely devoid of the strength to even crawl.
Seeing this, the thug on the other side glared murderously, gripped his dagger tight, and lunged forward to stab Silas in the back.
Silas immediately ducked and sidestepped, the blade barely skimming past his shoulder.
Using the momentum, he caught the thug's wrist in a brutal reverse grip. Digging his fingers directly into the joint, he twisted with terrifying force. A loud snap echoed as the thug's wrist was cleanly broken.
The dagger clattered to the floor, and a bloodcurdling scream shook the entire factory.
Silas's expression didn't change in the slightest. He lifted his leg and delivered a devastating kick to the thug's stomach. The sheer force of the blow launched the man several feet through the air, sending him crashing heavily into an abandoned iron lathe. With a sickening thud, the thug passed out instantly, his body sliding lifelessly to the floor.
The next second, the scar-faced man stepped out from behind his cover, aiming a gun directly at Silas. "Don't move. One flinch and I'll blow your brains out."
Silas didn't panic. He slowly turned around and raised his hands.
"I've heard of you, Mr. Summers," the man sneered mockingly. "Coming here alone to play the hero... you're a little too arrogant for your own good."
"Who sent you?" Silas demanded, his voice dangerously low.
"You want to know?" the man taunted. "Ask the devil himself."
With that, he pulled the trigger.
Bang—
The exact moment the bullet tore through the air, Silas violently twisted his body to dodge it. His hand instantly moved to his waist in one impossibly fast, fluid motion. Within a split second, a black handgun was gripped tightly in his hand.
Without blinking, he fired, shooting the scar-faced man straight through the arm.
The man shrieked in agony as his gun dropped to the floor.
