Seeing Julian resting in bed with Rosemary by his side, she walked in and asked softly, "How is he?"

"Alaina, you're here," Rosemary greeted her, gesturing for her to sit. "The doctor came by. My boy has always had a strong constitution since he was little. I don't know what's going on this time; he suddenly came down with a high fever and the medicine isn't bringing it down."

Alaina sat down next to him, noticing Julian's face was flushed red with fever. He looked utterly miserable.

She murmured, "I'll be right back," and got up, asking the butler for a bowl of warm water and fetching a towel from the bathroom.

"Rosemary, you should take a break," she said, returning to the bed and using the damp towel to try and physically cool Julian down.

The butler came in. "Madam, you've been keeping watch for a long time. Why don't you have something to eat and rest?"

Rosemary nodded. "Alaina, I'll have to trouble you to keep an eye on Julian for a while."
