The CEO’s Regret My Ex-Wife is a Tech Goddess novel Chapter 198

A winding stone path led to a tranquil rose garden where blooms of every hue competed for attention, filling the air with a delicate fragrance.

Nearby, a lake as clear as a mirror reflected the azure sky, fluffy clouds, and an ancient clock tower, its surface rippling as swans glided by gracefully.

In the center of the lawn, a pristine white gazebo was surrounded by a sea of pink and white roses interwoven with baby's breath, its delicate lace drapes fluttering in the breeze.

Long tables draped in crisp linen cloths were set with gleaming silverware and crystal glasses catching the sunlight, centered with towering candelabras and fresh floral arrangements.

Standing inside by the floor-to-ceiling windows, Alaina watched the staff hurrying to finalize the preparations. She pulled out her phone again, checking the text she had sent Silas.

Still no reply.

Before she had left for the estate, Silas had completely vanished.

Rosemary and Julian came into the room to call for her.

She walked over to them.

Rosemary grasped her hand. "Still haven't heard from Silas?"

She nodded.

Rosemary sighed. "Forget it, no one can change his mind once it's made up. After all these years as Lily's family, we'll represent The Summers Estate and give her our blessings."

Alaina nodded.

"There aren't many guests today," Julian noted. "Just Gregory Harrington, Fiona Harrington, and a few of Lily's friends. When the actual wedding happens, as long as Lily invites us, we'll be there."

Rosemary agreed with a nod, patting Alaina's hand as she offered a jewelry box. "Lily is probably desperate for Silas to show up. You should go see her. Let her know early that Silas won't be coming, to save her from greater disappointment later. And give her this gift."

Alaina nodded.
