The CEO’s Regret My Ex-Wife is a Tech Goddess novel Chapter 200

His eyes were as dark and unfathomable as a frozen abyss, boring straight into Lily. Every step he took radiated unquestionable authority.

"Mr. Summers."

"Mr. Summers."

Gregory and Fiona greeted him respectfully.

He offered a slight nod in acknowledgment as he halted in front of Lily.

Lily's eyes rimmed with red. For a moment, she didn't know what to say.

Julian transferred Lily's hand to Silas.

Silas accepted it gallantly, not saying a word, though his eyes carried an uncharacteristic softness.

Seeing Silas was actually there, Gregory suddenly grew anxious, muttering to Fiona beside him, "Where the hell is that boy? Is he planning to make everyone wait for him?"

Fiona pulled out her phone, just about to call him, when Ethan finally appeared. His utterly disheveled state made everyone frown.

Looking him up and down, taking in his scruffy beard, Fiona hissed, "Where's your suit? Didn't it get delivered to you this morning?"

Ethan let out a manic bark of laughter, his eyes dead-locked on Lily standing next to Silas. His voice was horribly raspy. "Can't I show up like this?"

All the color instantly vanished from Lily's face. Her fingers dug furiously into her skirt.

Fiona stared at him in horror. "Ethan, what nonsense are you talking about? It's your engagement party!"

Ethan sneered. "I never planned on getting engaged. This is Lily's engagement party, nothing more."

With that single sentence, an absolute deathly silence fell over the crowd.

Lily turned deathly pale, swaying violently. If Silas hadn't been holding her up, she would have collapsed to the ground. Her voice trembled uncontrollably. "Ethan, what did you say? Say that again!"
