The CEO’s Regret My Ex-Wife is a Tech Goddess novel Chapter 207

Since she had missed her last appointment, Logan rescheduled her endoscopy.

After work, Alaina asked Morris to drive her to Harrington Memorial Hospital.

Logan had swapped shifts just to meet her at the entrance, carefully supporting her as she limped her way inside.

Sensing her gloomy mood, Logan waited until they were seated in the waiting lounge before asking what was wrong.

She told him about the disastrous engagement party. According to Mrs. Gable, Lily hadn't set foot in the Summers Estate since that night, choosing to hide out in her private apartment instead.

The apartment staff had informed Mrs. Gable that Lily was a total wreck, drowning herself in alcohol every single day.

Hearing this, Logan scoffed. "Serves her right."

He snorted in disgust. "Our drama queen has pulled so much sick crap in the past. This doesn't even begin to cover her karma."

He immediately gave Alaina a stern look. "Someone like her doesn't deserve your pity. Don't waste your energy feeling sorry for her."

Alaina smiled faintly. "Trust me, I wasn't planning on it."

"As for Ethan..." Logan said, his tone turning serious. "He knew exactly what he was doing. He made his choice, and he knew there would be consequences."

Alaina lowered her eyes. "Silas has been avoiding me for days. It looks like he has no intention of letting Ethan off the hook."

Logan crossed his arms and rubbed his chin, scrutinizing her intently. "Wait a minute. Something's off about you."

She blinked, slightly taken aback.

"Are you actually worried about Ethan, or are you just upset that Silas is giving you the cold shoulder?" Logan leaned in closer, his eyes narrowing. "Do you really care that much about Silas's attitude now?"

She quickly scrambled to change the subject. "Why are you interrogating me? Why don't you explain why you showed up with Ethan in the middle of nowhere that night?"

Logan averted his gaze, looking slightly guilty. He admitted that he had told Ethan about her cancer, which was the only thing that had managed to snap him out of his insane obsession.
