The CEO’s Regret My Ex-Wife is a Tech Goddess novel Chapter 290

Logan shook his head with a sigh.

Just then, someone knocked on the door.

He pulled it open to find Ethan standing in the hallway.

"Dr. Foster," Ethan greeted him with a polite smile. "Do you have a moment to chat?"

At the sound of Ethan's voice, Alaina instinctively shrank back into her chair.

"No," Logan deadpanned, blocking the doorway with his arm. "What do you want, Boss? This isn't the psychiatric wing, so why do you keep trying to unload your feelings on me?"

Ethan opened his mouth, but seeing how fiercely defensive Logan was acting, he peered past him into the office. "You're acting weird. Are you hiding a nurse in there?"

"Don't be ridiculous," Logan scoffed, his eyes going wide.

That only made Ethan more suspicious. "Move aside. I own this hospital."

He shoved his way inside.

Spotting Alaina, he blinked in pure shock. "Alaina? What are you doing here?"

She offered a tight, polite nod.

"What happened?" Ethan's tone shifted to immediate panic. "Why are you two hiding? Are you sick? Did something go wrong?"

"Alright, that's enough," Logan interrupted, rolling his eyes. "Stop acting like you have any right to ask her that. What do you mean 'did something go wrong'? You just can't stand the idea of her actually being happy, can you?"

Ethan looked deeply offended. "That's not what I meant at all."

Logan crossed his arms with a sharp scoff. "I know exactly how your brain works."

"I swear, I don't."

"Fine." Logan glanced between the two of them. "Since you're already here, why don't you pull up a chair and we can all catch up."

Alaina looked completely lost. What on earth did she have to talk about with Ethan?
