The CEO’s Regret My Ex-Wife is a Tech Goddess novel Chapter 30

Rosemary beamed back at her. "Nonsense. You're exactly who I was looking for."

Alaina paused, momentarily confused.

"An old friend of mine was a patient of yours," Rosemary quickly improvised. "She highly recommended you."

Alaina frowned slightly.

During her time at Harrington Memorial, she was usually handed the 'hopeless' cases—patients the senior therapists had practically given up on.

Most of them were elderly and distrusted young doctors, so she was absolutely certain she hadn't treated any of Rosemary's socialite friends.

Figuring this was just a one-off consultation anyway, she didn't press the issue. "Your recovery from the herniated disc surgery has been excellent, but your core muscles are still quite weak. You'll need to focus on targeted lower back exercises. I'll write up a routine you can do at home. Don't worry, the movements are very simple. If you stick with it for three months, you won't need that cane anymore."

Rosemary nodded in delight. "Thank you so much, Dr. Rossi."

"It's my pleasure."

Alaina picked up her pen and began drafting the preliminary treatment plan.

"A brilliant young doctor like you must be incredibly busy. I imagine you don't even have time for a boyfriend, do you?" Rosemary asked, her eyes gleaming with sudden interest.

"I'm actually finalizing my divorce," Alaina answered frankly.

Rosemary blinked in shock, clearly not expecting that answer. "Well... your ex must be an absolute fool."

"Not exactly," Alaina replied calmly, showing no anger. "We were just young and didn't know how to make it work."

Hearing this, Rosemary's face lit up with absolute glee. "Out with the old, in with the new! Let me set you up with someone. I guarantee he is a million times better than your ex."

Alaina laughed out loud. "Thank you for the offer, Mrs. Rowe."

She couldn't help but marvel that someone associated with the Summers family could be this sweet and endearing.

Just then, Lily strolled into the room, her arm looped intimately through Ethan's.

"Aunt Rosemary, what are you two gossiping about? You look so happy."

"Oh, nothing," Rosemary smiled. "Just chatting with this lovely doctor."
