The CEO’s Regret My Ex-Wife is a Tech Goddess novel Chapter 35

Alaina accepted the card, nodding politely in a gesture of respect.

She vaguely recalled that the presenter at that awards ceremony did share his last name, though she honestly couldn't remember his face.

Out of the corner of her eye, she caught the icy malice still burning in Lily's gaze, but she had no desire to keep fighting. "If that's all, may I leave now?"

Julian offered a warm smile. "Of course."

Alaina turned back to Logan, but Ethan suddenly grabbed her wrist with a crushing grip.

"Alaina, I am giving you one last chance," Ethan hissed, his entire body tense with restrained fury. "Are you really going to walk away with him? Are you really going to humiliate me in public like this?"

She winced at the pain, firing back coldly. "It's about time you tasted what that feels like."

With that, she mercilessly wrenched her hand free.

Ethan pressed his lips into a tight line, the veins in his temples bulging as his furious gaze tracked her departure.

Lily's eyes went wide, grinding her teeth in blinding rage. "I have never been so humiliated in my entire life."

"I'll have my driver take you home to get cleaned up," Julian said, his voice a portrait of emotional stability.

"Julian," Lily protested, her eyes rimmed with red. "Are you really not going to stand up for me?"

Julian showed neither anger nor annoyance. He signaled for his assistant and entourage to head to the car first. Only when they were alone did he speak. "Didn't you beg me to come here to save her? So why are you throwing a tantrum demanding I stand up for you now?"

Lily was instantly rendered speechless.

Ethan quickly interjected, "I am incredibly sorry about all this."

Julian maintained his smile, though it carried an unmistakable, intimidating weight. "You should be. Letting two women fight over you is hardly the mark of a real man."

Hearing this, Ethan froze, his face flushing with utter embarrassment.
