The Coma Prince’s Fiancée novel Chapter 100

Paulina could barely hide her satisfaction as she listened, the corners of her lips twitching with a smile she tried not to show. She let out a quiet sigh and didn’t bother to add anything else.

Rebecca stood in the middle of the cafeteria, surrounded by the buzzing crowd. Whatever patience she had left was officially spent.

“Leave your names,” she said, her voice flat and cold.

The room went instantly quiet. People looked at each other, confused.

“What, you want our names? What for?” someone asked, sounding just as annoyed as they were curious.

Rebecca just gave a short, sharp laugh. “So I can send you a letter from my lawyer. Funny how some people love making up rumors, but freak out when it’s time to take responsibility. You’re adults. Act like it.”

Someone scoffed from the crowd, “Really, a lawyer’s letter? That’s your big move? Celebrities send those out all the time and nobody cares. You think we don’t know they’re just scare tactics?”

Rebecca stared at them, her gaze icy. “If they’re so useless, then what are you worried about?”

“I’m not worried!” The guy practically shouted, his pride not letting him back down now. “I’m Leo, Computer Science. Go ahead and send me whatever you want. Let’s see what you can actually do.”

“I’m Farr, add me to the list! I can’t stand people like you!”

“Count me in too!”

Not even the skinny boy who’d started this drama. He’d only dared to trash-talk Rebecca because he thought she was powerless. When it came to someone like Wade, though, he wouldn’t even dare raise his voice.

Rebecca had known all along. These people only ever targeted those they thought were easy to step on. She turned, a cold smile curling at her lips. “So this is all you’ve got?” Her words hit harder than any slap.

The skinny boy’s face turned red. More people in the cafeteria were watching now, waiting for him to make a move. He couldn’t let her get away with that. Fury burning in his eyes, he grabbed his lunch tray and threw it at Rebecca. “Let’s see if you’re still so tough!”

He moved fast, and Rebecca was close enough that it looked like she wouldn’t be able to dodge. In that split second, the whole crowd seemed to freeze.

Paulina’s eyes went wide, not in fear, but in excitement. After all the times Rebecca had made her life miserable, somebody was finally fighting back.
