The Coma Prince’s Fiancée novel Chapter 123

Lily froze, caught off guard, before her anger snapped back. “Rebecca, who do you think you are? Since when can you make Wade show up just because you say so? Do you think he’s your personal assistant?”

Rebecca looked over, calm and unfazed. “And how do you know he isn’t?”

A stunned silence rippled through the room.

Ladd, who had been eager to help just a moment ago, immediately pulled away. When someone says things that wild, it’s probably smart to keep your distance.

Magee’s face turned red with anger. “Rebecca, my grandfather spent his entire life making breakthroughs in biological science. He’s achieved so much. How can you be so disrespectful?”

And after he’d just tried to defend her. This was beyond ungrateful.

Felice jumped in, her voice tight with frustration. “Rebecca, Wade has helped you before. If you can’t be grateful, at least don’t talk about him like that.”

Rebecca just shrugged, a little helpless. Sometimes honesty really was harder for people to handle than a lie.

“What’s with all the noise?”

A deep, commanding voice cut straight through the tension.

Everyone turned. Wade, looking lively despite his silver hair, strode in. Ablitt followed behind, along with another teacher, sharp-featured and serious, who had that unmistakable academic vibe.

Magee looked like he’d seen a ghost. His grandfather, who never came out for anything, was standing right there.

She wanted to show Wade just how bad Rebecca really was, hoping he’d finally stop defending her. But Wade’s stern expression didn’t budge. Rebecca stood back, cool and calm, giving away nothing.

Lily clenched her teeth. Earlier, Rebecca had been fearless, but the moment Wade arrived, she clammed right up. She must be guilty.

Paulina, realizing no one else was stepping in, gave Gavin a discreet look, signaling him to speak. Gavin, intimidated by Wade’s presence, had nowhere else to go. He forced himself forward and looked at Wade, playing up his misery. “Mr. Wade...”

He edged closer and, with a wounded expression, lifted his shirt to show off his injuries again.

“This is proof Rebecca hit me. When I saw Garnett was playing a piece for the exam that sounded way too much like mine, I went to get an explanation. But instead, he accused me, saying Rebecca helped him revise it. So I looked for Rebecca, but she refused to come clean and attacked me instead. Honestly, if Lily hadn’t shown up when she did, I was worried Rebecca might have killed me right here. Please, Mr. Wade, you have to stand up for me. I want justice.”

Wade’s expression darkened. “There are girls present. Why are you taking off your shirt now? Aren’t you embarrassed?”
