The Coma Prince’s Fiancée novel Chapter 133

Susan’s name flashed on Rebecca’s phone.

Setting her pen aside, Rebecca tapped to answer. “Hey, Susan. What’s up?”

Susan had worried Rebecca might be busy with classes, but the call went through right away, and she couldn’t help but laugh in relief.

“Bekki, I’ll keep this short. You remember how we already worked things out with the president at Vantage Point? The Grand Resonance finals are set to happen there.

“Since you’re already on campus, Elbert and I talked and agreed it’d be perfect for you to serve as a judge this round.

“This whole competition started because of you, after all. And honestly, since you nabbed that gold overseas, you’ve kept a low profile. We still haven’t gotten many standout submissions for this event, so having you as a judge could really give us a boost. If the attention keeps dropping, I’m worried we won’t be able to get good talent next time.”

Rebecca thought for a second.

Thinking about the chaos that would come with revealing her secret identity, she answered calmly, “Sorry, can’t do it. Right now, I’m just a student at Vantage Point. Being a judge wouldn’t really fit.”

Susan sounded resigned, like she’d expected that answer. “Alright, I won’t push. But don’t forget—you still owe me a new piece this month. The International Music Gala is coming up soon. If you don’t put something out, people might start forgetting about you.”

“Mm,” Rebecca said, barely glancing up as she kept scribbling on her draft.

Susan could hear how distracted she was, so she pushed again. “Seriously, don’t brush this off. The Grand Resonance finals are next Tuesday. I’m coming for that new piece myself!”

“Okay,” Rebecca murmured, finishing the last line on her sketch. She sent the draft over to someone in her contacts marked as “L.”

L was just Laura. Rebecca had never bothered to change the contact name.

Laura replied almost instantly with an “OK” emoji and followed up with a message: [Someone wants to buy BLUE. Are you interested in selling?]

“BLUE” was Rebecca’s breakout piece, and the one she was proudest of. There was no way she’d part with it now.

[Not for sale.]

[Alright, I’ll turn them down.]

At the White family estate, Aaron stood anxiously before Norris. “Mr. White, they gave us a clear refusal about buying BLUE. But they did suggest some other classic pieces if you want to browse them.”
