"It's a school arrangement. Do I need your permission?" the Dean retorted sternly.
Felice was left speechless. Her face flushed hot, a mix of anger and sheer embarrassment.
It wasn't like she had never interacted with the Dean before, but he had always been relatively nice to her. He had never publicly humiliated her like this. Was this because of Rebecca too?
Sensing the Dean's bad mood, Paulina wisely kept her mouth shut.
"The exam is about to start. Get back to your seats," the Dean reminded them in a heavy tone.
No one could blame the Dean for being in a foul mood. After all, he was the Dean of Students at Vantage Point. Proctoring an exam wasn't supposed to be part of his job description anymore.
But the moment he arrived at his office today, Wade Lane had assigned him to proctor Class A, specifically emphasizing that he ensure no one disturbed Rebecca.
He had thought the president was overreacting. The students in Class A were the cream of the crop; surely they wouldn't stoop to harassing a classmate right before an exam.
But he was proven wrong the second he walked through the door.
He wasn't blind. Felice and Paulina clearly hadn't been making friendly conversation with Rebecca—they were picking a fight.
Even though Rebecca had a distant personality and spoke bluntly, she hadn't done anything to damage the school's reputation. So why were the Class A students so hostile toward her?
Paulina noticed the Dean's dissatisfaction directed at her, and her heart sank.
If she had known the Dean was proctoring, she would never have let Felice mock Rebecca so openly. After all, she needed to maintain her flawless image in front of the faculty.
Seeing Felice put in her place, the rest of the class didn't dare make a sound.
The Dean set down the sealed envelope and was about to open it when he noticed three empty seats. His expression darkened further. "What is the meaning of this? Look at the time, and we still have students missing!"
The university rules strictly stated that all students had to be in the classroom five minutes before an exam started.
