The Coma Prince’s Fiancée novel Chapter 174

Ablitt was torn. He didn't believe Jack was part of some grand conspiracy. When Jack joined two years ago, he drastically improved Class F's scores and even brought home a national award. But since then, the class's performance had tanked. Not only did they fail to place in national competitions this year, but Garnett was now caught up in two plagiarism scandals. It put the Dean in a terrible position.

"Jack, Lily's words are harsh, but she has a point. Plagiarism is a serious offense. If Garnett can't produce solid evidence, the school will have a hard time letting this go."

Jack knew that. Not wanting to put Wade in a difficult spot, he clenched his fists, his knuckles turning white.

Seeing the teachers side with him, Gavin could hardly contain his smugness. He spoke up confidently, "Judges, this isn't the first time he's stolen from me. Last time, he refused to admit it and even dragged that new Class A student, Rebecca Russell, to vouch for him. They had zero proof back then too. What's more, we made a bet on this exam: whoever loses has to drop out of Apex Academy. Since I've proven my innocence and he can't clear his name, it's an established fact that he copied me. I ask the judges to act as my witnesses and enforce the bet!"

Lily had been waiting for this exact moment. She chimed in immediately. "Yes! I was there too. The president even had me hand over their signed and thumb-printed agreement to the Dean for safekeeping. It's time to give Gavin the justice he deserves."

Ablitt frowned, disgusted by her instigating, but remained silent. The other teachers followed his lead. None of them could out-talk Lily anyway.

Down in the lobby, everyone knew about the bet. With Garnett about to be branded a thief, all eyes instinctively turned to Rebecca.

She was a key player in this mess.

Candace's heart tightened when she saw the crowd staring. "Rebecca, I trust your judgment. If you said he didn't plagiarize, then he didn't!"

"Look at that psychological resilience! About to be expelled and she still has no shame. I can't wait to see her cry when the guards drag her out."

"She didn't even have the skills to back up her big talk. Absolutely delusional!"

Paulina Russell felt the tension in her chest finally ease. She glanced at Rebecca's impassive face and gave a soft, fake smile.

"Rebecca, you really were in the wrong this time. If you want to stay at Vantage Point University, I could try to put in a good word for you. But... I don't think I can keep you in Apex Academy."
