She really was fearless, even daring to involve him in her schemes.

Strangely, he didn’t actually mind it.

Rebecca realized he was staring at her. She kept her cool on the outside but couldn’t help thinking, Is he mad at me for setting everyone against each other? Is that what this is about?

Ableson picked up on the silent exchange between Norris and Rebecca, and his nerves turned into genuine surprise.
