The Coma Prince’s Fiancée novel Chapter 92

Neely gritted his teeth, doing everything he could to keep calm. He didn’t bother arguing with Lily anymore. He just grabbed Rebecca’s arm, ready to get out of there.

But Rebecca stood her ground.

She turned to face Lily, her eyes cool and unreadable. When she spoke, her tone was sharp, almost icy. “Ma’am, as far as I know, Vantage Point University’s motto is ‘It’s not about glory, it’s about being true to yourself.’ Is this how you represent this school?”

Paulina and Magee had just reached the doors of the building when they heard Rebecca’s question ring out, clear and confident. They paused, startled, then hurried upstairs.

Lily hadn’t even noticed Rebecca at first. But once she realized Rebecca was quoting the school motto at her, she finally looked over. Her expression turned even nastier.

“Who are you and where did you come from? I’ve never seen you at Apex Academy. Just sneaking in here like this is enough for a serious write-up. Who’s your teacher? I’d love to see who has the nerve to take in such a disrespectful student!”

Rebecca raised an eyebrow, her lips tilting into a faint, mocking smile. Her cool stare made Lily’s temper flare. “Are you really someone who deserves that respect?” she shot back.

In all her years at Vantage Point University, Lily had never been spoken to like this.

“What kind of attitude is that? Who do you think you’re talking to? Do you even know who I am?” Lily’s voice shot down the hallway, sharp and shrill.

Paulina, from the sidelines, felt secretly satisfied that Rebecca was getting herself into trouble, but then she saw Magee step forward, his face unreadable. She hesitated, then followed after him.

The students in Class A peered through the windows, not wanting to miss out on who was bold enough to go toe-to-toe with Lily.

Magee saw that Lily was practically shaking with anger and finally spoke up. “Lily, Rebecca is new. She just signed up today. She’s part of Apex Academy too. Actually, Wade just said some great things about her.”
