Chapter 24
Autumn watched the shifting expressions on Lydia’s face and knew, deep down, she’d taken the bait.
After dealing with Lydia for so many years, Autumn had seen right through to her core.
This is a woman who is selfish to the extreme
Her selfishness drove her to constantly use others to get what she wanted. Early on, she leeched off the Lopez’s.
Later, she started preying on anyone she could get close to, turning every last acquaintance into a stepping stone.
Lydia had been successful at first and enjoyed a good run, but when she found out the person she’d always looked down on had become a corporate CEO, she couldn’t stand it anymore.
Lydia never wanted Mars the man.
She wanted the CEO of Cloudbreak Corporation and the title of Mrs. Wright that came with him.
Mars, on the other hand, was incredibly arrogant.
It was obvious from the way he doted on and favored Lydia that he believed she was his one true love.
That was why he was willing to backstab Autumn–the woman who had struggled alongside him for years, who had helped him build his company from nothing–just to be with Lydia.
That scumbag and his bitch each had their own agenda, but they both agreed on one thing: sacrificing Autumn!
In this three–person drama, if things went according to Mars and Lydia’s script, Autumn was headed for a gruesome end.
Autumn refused to die.
So, the moment she learned the truth, she immediately began to plox
She would use the Lopez Group to take on Cloudbreak.
As for this disgusting pair, she chose to turn them against each other.
her revenge..
They were both selfish parasites. If she attacked them directly, they might just set aside their differences for their mutual benefit.
Autumn wouldn’t allow them to live happily ever after.
She was going to make Mars and Lydia torture each other for eternity.
Dog eat dog was going to be the theme song of their future–the only song.
Ludica vou okay? Cat got your tongue?”
Autumn knew exactly how to twist the knife. She raised her voice, her tone sickeningly sweet. “Is it because you saw how sweet Mars is to me, and now you want a boyfriend too? Well, you just have to tell me what kind of guy you like, and I’ll have Mars keep an eye out for you.”

“What do you think of his friend Sawyer Jenkins?”
Lydia was so furious at Autumn’s words that she was practically having a stroke, unable to even form a retort.
But at the last sentence, her eyes flew wide open, and she stared at Autumn with a look that screamed, Are you insane “That Sawyer guy is so ugly, you think I’d ever be interested? Autumn, are you trying to ruin my life?! You might as well set me up with Max Fields“”
Autumn silently rolled her eyes.
Even a guy like Max Fields would probably have better taste than to go for Lydia.
Only an idiot like Mars would treasure a two–faced, manipulative bitch like her.
“What about Waylon Parker?”
Autumn asked with a cheerful smile, looking every bit the concerned older sister worried about her sibling’s love life.
“Waylon is handsome, so he should meet your standards, right?”
The disgust on Lydia’s face deepened. “Are you serious, Autumn? Who could possibly like that man–whore Waylon? The
only thing he has going for him is his face, which he uses to hit on and sleep with every girl he meets. You think I’d like
someone like that?”
“God only knows if he has some disease!”
“Are you trying to get me sick? Autumn, how can you be so vicious?”
Seeing Lydia open her mouth to start wailing again, Autumn cut her off, annoyed. “These men are Mars’s friends. Even if
you don’t like them, you can’t just talk about them like that.”
“What would they think of Mars if they found out?”
Lydia finally saw her chance to show off. She shyly tucked her hair behind her ear and said, “But Mars is the one who told
me all this.”
“Hasn’t Mars told you any of this? That’s so weird. When he took me out to meet them, he told me his friends were all pretty messed up and that I should just be polite but not take any of them seriously.”
“No way… seriously? Don’t tell me you’ve never gone with Mars to meet his friends, and he’s never given you a heads–up
about them?”
Autumn dutifully lowered her eyes, a gesture Lydia interpreted as a sign of her pain.
That only made Lydia’s arrogance swell.
“Oh, sis, please don’t be mad at Mars. You know how busy he is every day.”
“And if you’re upset that he didn’t tell you these things, it’s all the same if I tell you, right?”
“You know that friend of his, Jason Spencer? A few years ago, he messed around with an underage girl. He thought he could just pay her off, but then she got pregnant. Jason was terrified his family would find out, so he… quietly took care of

the problem.”
“And then there’s Zane Lawrence…”
To show off just how much Mars doted on her, Lydia spilled every secret she knew, as if that would be enough to provoke
Autumn.
Watching Autumn’s expression grow darker and darker, Lydia could barely contain her glee.
She even viciously hoped the emotional turmoil would be enough to make Autumn miscarry.
That would certainly solve a problem for her.
