THE DIVORCE GAMBIT From Dumped Wife to CEO's Forever novel Chapter 1037

After they finished eating, Gordon suggested, "It's Saturday, and I don't have to go to the office this afternoon. What do you want for dinner? We could go to the farmer's market, and I can cook for us tonight. How does that sound?"

"That sounds great," Caitlin nodded. "Let's have beef stew. It's been a while since I've had yours."

Gordon was a skilled cook, versed in various cuisines and with his own secret blend of spices. His beef stew had a unique flavor you couldn't find anywhere else, and Caitlin loved it.

"Whatever you want," Gordon agreed with a nod.

The farmer's market was the epitome of everyday life. Gordon parked the car on the side of the road. Even before they reached the main entrance, they could see a row of elderly men and women selling fruits and vegetables they had grown themselves.

"You didn't say anything stupid, no," Caitlin shook her head.

Gordon breathed a sigh of relief at her words.

Even now, she couldn't help but laugh whenever she remembered Gordon's performance.

Seeing the video from last night again, Caitlin laughed like a fool. "Don't you look like a complete idiot? Hahahahaha!"

"Boss, can we make a deal?"

"What is it?" Caitlin asked.

"Could you please delete this video?" Gordon simply couldn't bear to face that version of himself. It was too horrifying.

"Absolutely not." Caitlin immediately hid her phone.

Gordon lunged, trying to grab it from her.

The two of them started chasing each other around the living room, throwing sofa cushions everywhere.

In the middle of the chase, Caitlin somehow ended up being tackled by Gordon onto the sofa--
