THE DIVORCE GAMBIT From Dumped Wife to CEO's Forever novel Chapter 1080

PREGNANT!!!

Caitlin was pregnant?

Caitlin's words were spoken calmly, but they landed like a massive bomb in a tranquil lake.

Everyone stood there, stunned.

Especially Gordon. He could barely process it. After a long moment, he looked at Caitlin, his voice filled with disbelief. "Boss, so... does this mean I'm going to be a father?"

"Yes," Caitlin nodded slightly.

Gordon swept Caitlin into a hug, cheering, "This is amazing! I'm going to be a dad! I'm going to be a dad! Thank you, honey! I love you!"

As he said the last words, Gordon planted a kiss on Caitlin's cheek.

Ten years ago, Gordon could never have imagined this day would come. He was married. He had someone he loved deeply. And he was going to be a father.

He had once resisted marriage, a staunch believer in bachelorhood, but meeting the right person had taught him that the most romantic and worthwhile thing in life was simply spending the four seasons and sharing three meals a day with the one you love.

Beatrice was also overcome with excitement. "So I'm going to be a grandmother?"

Just half an hour ago, Beatrice had been lamenting that at her age, she still wasn't a grandmother. And in the next moment, Caitlin had given her this incredible surprise! It was so unexpected that Beatrice could hardly believe it.

Alaina smiled at Beatrice. "Yes, that's right! You're going to be a grandmother, and I'm going to be an aunt!"

Seeing Gordon and Caitlin finally having a child of their own made Alaina incredibly happy.

The hospital was crowded at this hour, with long queues in every department.

Caitlin was just pregnant; she didn't want to use her connections to cut the line and potentially delay someone who was truly sick. So, she decided to go through the process like everyone else.

Gordon went to queue up for registration, while Beatrice sat with Caitlin on a blue plastic chair, chatting with her.

"Catie, are you hungry now? I brought some bread for you." With that, Beatrice pulled a small bun from her bag.

"Mom," Caitlin shook her head with a smile, "I just ate. I'm not hungry."

"If you're not hungry, then have some fruit," Beatrice continued, rummaging through her bag again and pulling out a container of washed grapes. "These grapes are delicious, sweet and tangy. And I heard that if you eat grapes during pregnancy, the baby's eyes will be very big and bright, just like grapes."
