THE DIVORCE GAMBIT From Dumped Wife to CEO's Forever novel Chapter 1102

Gavin nodded. "Ransom's right. Don't bring this up again."

He turned to Ransom. "Ransom, thank you for this. If it weren't for you, I might have been kept in the dark for the rest of my life."

Ransom scratched his head, looking a little embarrassed. "Don't say that, Gavin. Honestly, I just thought it was strange. How could a great guy like you have a daughter with such a terrible character? Plus, she doesn't look like you at all, so I got the idea to do a DNA test."

It was true.

Rowena had been right; the truth couldn't come from her. This way, in Gavin's eyes, Rowena would always remain pure and kind.

Rowena then said, "Gavin, since your mind is made up, I'll go pack the girl's things. I can have security take them down to her."

"Thank you, Rowena. I appreciate it," Gavin said, looking up at her.

"It's the least I can do."

Rowena went to Ann's room and quickly packed a suitcase with the new clothes and toiletries Ann had accumulated during her stay.

Gavin spoke again. "Rowena, let's move. I don't want to live in this neighborhood anymore."

The very idea that Ann had once lived here now made him sick to his stomach. They owned several properties in Granchester, so moving wouldn't be difficult.

"Of course," Rowena nodded. "Whatever you want."

Finally getting Ann, that walking trouble, out of the house was a huge relief for Rowena.

She couldn't even describe the weight of living under the same roof with her these past few days.

Ulysses was so small, and she was terrified Ann might try to harm him.

She hadn't let her son out of her sight for a moment.

--

Ann was dumped unceremoniously on the side of the road. She sat on the pavement, stunned, for a long time.

About fifteen minutes later, one of the security guards returned with her suitcase. "These are your things. Don't come back here again."

Ann stared at the suitcase, her eyes filled with despair.

As Ann was about to enter the station, she got a text from Elsa, a high school classmate.

[Hi, Ann.]

Elsa had been working abroad for years and was apparently doing very well. Her social media was filled with pictures of luxury cars and designer bags.

[What’s up?] Ann replied.

They chatted for a while. After hearing about Ann's situation, Elsa sent her a thousand dollars and then another message: [Ann, I'm working on a big project here in Myanmar, and we're short on highly educated people. Interested? If you come, I'm willing to give you a ten-percent stake.]

[Business is booming here right now. I didn't even go to a good university, and I managed to make it. For a top student like you, it'll be a piece of cake. I guarantee you'll be a multi-millionaire within three years!]

A ten-percent stake? A multi-millionaire?

Ann's eyes lit up. It seemed fate hadn't completely abandoned her.

Once she made her fortune in Myanmar, she would come back and get her revenge on Caitlin!
