No one could fathom the depth of Carey's grief. In the first few days after Hannah's passing, she had been in a state of shock. It was only now, as the reality settled in, that she truly had no mother, that she was consumed by an overwhelming sorrow.
"Mom!"
Carey's sobs grew more heartbroken.
"Carey, you still have us," Jade said, embracing her tightly. "We're all here for you. Mom passed peacefully at a ripe old age. You have to be strong and move forward. That's the only way she can rest easy in heaven."
Babette nodded. "Jade is right, Carey. The people Mom worried about most were you and Freya. You need to take care of yourself, for her sake."
Her other sisters-in-law echoed the sentiment, offering words of comfort. Their kindness eased some of the ache in Carey's heart. "It's just… it feels so sudden." she murmured.
"Everyone has to face this day eventually," Adelina said, taking Carey's hand. "And you did more than enough, Carey. In the years since you came back, you spent more time with Mom than any of us."
It was true. Carey visited Neon Spire every couple of months to stay with Hannah, and every year, she would bring Hannah to the Capital to live with her for a few months. She had been a truly devoted daughter.
Elaine Prescott nodded in agreement. "Adelina's right, Carey. You fulfilled your duty as a daughter. Don't dwell on it. Besides, Mom passed peacefully, her mind was clear, and she didn't suffer. As her children, we should be happy for her."
To pass away in old age without pain or regret was the greatest blessing one could hope for. So many people endured long, agonizing illnesses. Compared to them, Hannah had been incredibly fortunate.

Time flew by, and another year passed.
The three little ones were now a year and seven months old. Children change every day, and at this age, they were not only walking but their features had blossomed. They looked like three little supermodels, turning heads and drawing cameras wherever they went.
Of course, with age came mischief. At this moment, Silas was on the slide, while Jasper was chasing the dog. Monday, now seven years old, was a sturdy, muscular dog weighing well over a hundred pounds, strong enough to carry all three children on his back at once. The toddlers absolutely adored him. In fact, the first word Jasper had learned to say wasn't "Dad" or "Mom," but "Monday."

So happy for Carey, the reunion with her family is touching. Can we read more of Caitlin and Gordon? Readers are forgetting that Caitlin has a boyfriend by the way. Is it normal for their relationship to be erased in the storyline?...
Update please......
But where is Gordon?...
