"Waaah…"
At that, Gemma's little mouth crumpled, and she burst into tears.
Of the three siblings, Gemma most resembled Caitlin. She had fair skin, large, grape-like eyes that shimmered with life, framed by long, curly lashes. Her nose was high and elegant, giving her features a striking, memorable quality. Her hair was tied up in two adorable little pigtails. When she cried, it made you want to give her everything good in the world.
Beatrice's heart instantly melted. She scooped Gemma up, showering her with kisses before handing her the yellow duck. "Okay, okay, don’t cry, sweetheart. I was only kidding! Gemma is the most wonderful girl in the world."
Gemma, hearing this, immediately cupped Beatrice's face in her tiny hands and planted a big, wet kiss on her cheek, her tears vanishing as quickly as they had come.
Seeing her granddaughter's affectionate nature, Beatrice was filled with a mix of joy and concern. "Oh, my dear Gemma, you understand everything. Why is it that you just won't speak?" She was genuinely worried about what would happen if her granddaughter never found her voice.
"Mom, don't rush her," Alaina Sylvester said, walking over with her grandson in tow. "They say the brightest ones often take their time to speak. Even Caitlin said there's nothing to worry about, so you shouldn't fret."
Skyler, the son of Skyler Cumming and Magda, was five months older than the triplets, now two years and three months old. He loved playing with them more than anyone. Seeing that Gemma had been crying, he immediately dug into his pocket, pulled out a piece of candy, and offered it to her. "No cwy, Gemma. Have candy…"
A two-year-old's speech wasn't always clear. He was trying to be a comfort.
Gemma accepted the candy and, in return, pulled out a cheese stick she had been saving. Her mother had told her she could only have one a day, so Gemma always saved it for just before brushing her teeth at night.
Skyler took the cheese stick. "Fank you, Gemma!"

So happy for Carey, the reunion with her family is touching. Can we read more of Caitlin and Gordon? Readers are forgetting that Caitlin has a boyfriend by the way. Is it normal for their relationship to be erased in the storyline?...
Update please......
But where is Gordon?...
