For a moment, Elsa froze.
She hadn't even remembered it was their 100-day anniversary, yet this supposedly unromantic man had.
Not only did he remember, but he also bought her flowers and gave her his family's heirloom jade bracelet.
This was all the proof she needed. Xander wasn't just playing around with her.
He truly loved her.
Deeply.
No one knew how incredibly moved Elsa felt right now.
Tears streamed down her cheeks.
Seeing her silence, Xander grew anxious and asked again, "Baby, will you marry me?"
He needed her answer now.
Elsa's voice broke as she sobbed, nodding frantically. "Yes, yes, I will!"
She knew it! The other day, when Xander mentioned arranging a marriage for their kids in front of Caitlin, he was just dropping hints, preparing her for this! Their relationship was already so stable, all that was missing was a proposal. And now, seeing how sincere he was, she couldn't possibly reject him.
She would marry Xander. She would build a family with him!
Hearing her response, Xander's eyes narrowed, a glint of triumph flashing within them.
He knew she would say yes.
After all, Elsa was an idiot.
Seeing the hopeful look on Xander's face, Elsa suddenly didn't know how to respond.
After a moment's hesitation, she countered, "What about you? What was your first impression of them?"
Xander smiled. "They were both great. Especially Gertrude. I thought she was very straightforward. It was just the three of you in that dorm, right? You must have all gotten along really well. I bet there wasn't any of that typical dorm room drama."
Xander was no fool. He knew better than to bring up Caitlin directly at a time like this. Given her status, mentioning her first would be a dead giveaway of his intentions. But Gertrude was different. She was just an ordinary middle-class person, not even as well-off as his own family.
Hearing Xander's words, Elsa felt a pang of guilt. Both Caitlin and Gertrude thought Xander was a social climber. But if he really were that kind of person, he wouldn't be praising Gertrude, especially since she had contradicted him several times. Yet, not only did Xander not hold a grudge, he even found her directness admirable!
It seemed her judgment hadn't been wrong after all. The boyfriend she had chosen was a good man.
Elsa nodded. "The atmosphere in our dorm was really great. Because of Catie, the university gave us a two-bedroom suite, it even had a kitchen!"
Those years in college were the happiest time of Elsa's life.

Can you please publish another novel - sorry for your loss, its me am the loss...
So happy for Carey, the reunion with her family is touching. Can we read more of Caitlin and Gordon? Readers are forgetting that Caitlin has a boyfriend by the way. Is it normal for their relationship to be erased in the storyline?...
Update please......
