"They… they thought you were great," Elsa said.
She couldn't possibly tell him the truth. That would just make Xander resent Caitlin and Gertrude. She was going to marry Xander, and after they were married, they would all see each other often. If Xander knew that Caitlin and Gertrude didn't approve of him, it would make future gatherings incredibly awkward.
Xander let out a breath of relief. "I was worried your two roommates wouldn't like me! After all, Miss Kensington is no ordinary person. She's met elites from all walks of life, and I'm just a regular guy." As he spoke, Xander lowered his head as if embarrassed.
Elsa quickly reassured him, "Babe, don't say that. In my eyes, you'll always be the most outstanding man! No one can compare to you!"
It was then that Elsa thought she finally understood the reason for Caitlin's aversion to Xander. Caitlin probably looked down on his social status. Although Xander was exceptional, he was worlds apart from the people in Caitlin's circle.

Xander squeezed her hand emotionally, but his downcast eyes were filled with scorn.
He had known it all along. Manipulating Elsa was as easy as handling a baby chick.
He then added, "After we get married, we have to have lots and lots of children."
At least two boys and a girl. That way, they could set their kids up with the other family.
Elsa blushed. "Stop it! Who said I was going to marry you? I'm not!"
