No one could understand how moved Elsa was in that moment. She honestly felt lucky to have landed in a family like this.
To be honest, on her way home, Elsa had braced herself for a tirade. After all, she had caused them such immense public shame. Anyone in their position would have been furious.
But not only did they not blame her, they actually comforted her. The warmth in their voices made her eyes sting and put a lump in her throat.
She knew it. She had made the right choice.
No matter what happened, whether Caitlin was her friend or not, as long as she was Elsa, her husband's parents would treat her like their own daughter. They valued her for who she was, not for her connection to Caitlin.
That's why, even though things with Caitlin were irreparable, her husband's family would never abandon her.
The Forresters exchanged a quick, knowing glance. Frieda smiled and said, "Silly girl, of course we treat you well. We're family. There's no need for thanks."
Xander's father nodded in agreement. "Your mother's right. There's no need to be so formal with family."
Their words made Elsa's eyes grow even redder. Suddenly, the day's humiliations seemed trivial. So what if she and Caitlin were no longer friends? So what if Caitlin was the high-and-mighty CEO of Gonzales Holdings? Elsa had something far more precious. What did Caitlin have? Nothing. Caitlin could only hide in some dark corner, secretly jealous of her.
If Caitlin wasn't jealous, why would she keep trying to stir things up between Elsa and her in‑laws? It was obvious. Caitlin was consumed by jealousy.
"Alright, dear, don't cry," Frieda said, her patience wearing thin.
*All she ever does is cry,* she thought. *This bitch is going to drag our whole family down with her.* But the thought of the money for emotional distress her son had mentioned made her maintain her benevolent facade. "Let me go get you some food."
"I'm not hungry, Mom," Elsa said, shaking her head and taking Frieda's hand.
"You need to eat to keep your strength up," Frieda said with a slight frown. "If you don't eat, I'll get angry."

So happy for Carey, the reunion with her family is touching. Can we read more of Caitlin and Gordon? Readers are forgetting that Caitlin has a boyfriend by the way. Is it normal for their relationship to be erased in the storyline?...
Update please......
