"Caitlin!" Elsa exclaimed. "That's right, the winner's name was Caitlin Kensington, and she was from Eldermere!"
At this, Elsa whipped her head around to look at Caitlin, her voice filled with disbelief. "Ca-Catie, you're not... you're not the first-place winner, are you?"
Gertrude also stared at Caitlin, her face a mask of curiosity.
Caitlin smiled. "I am."
"Oh my God! Oh my God!" Elsa practically shouted.
She thought Gertrude being the city's top scorer was shocking enough.
But she never expected...
That Caitlin was the IPHO champion!
The prestige of IPHO was on a completely different level from being a city's top scorer.
Gertrude was equally stunned. She looked at Caitlin. "Catie, after winning first place in IPHO, why didn't you go to an Ivy League school abroad?"
With Caitlin's achievements, she would have been courted by every major international university.
Caitlin explained, "My family lives in The Capital, and I didn't want to be too far from them, so I chose Kingsward University."
The main reason, though, was that the food abroad was terrible.
She couldn't get used to foreign cuisine.
"That makes sense," Elsa nodded, sighing in admiration. "You two are both so amazing and so humble!"
Elsa had been quite confident in her own abilities; after all, she was always in the top three of her grade.
But now, she felt a little insecure.
Gertrude blushed at the praise. "It's nothing, really. I heard last year's top scorer in my city got a 1531. I was a full 11 points behind her. I just got lucky this year."
Eleven points might not seem like much, but in the college entrance exams, it was a huge gap.
"Catie is the really amazing one," Gertrude said. "I tried to apply for IPHO before, but I never passed the qualifying exams."
The bar for IPHO was incredibly high.
Gertrude knew her own limits.
Elsa agreed wholeheartedly. "I can't believe the IPHO champion is my roommate!"
It was surreal.
A top scorer.
An international champion.
Their dorm room was truly full of hidden talents.
"You two, stop praising me, or I'll get a big head," Caitlin said, glancing at her phone. "My boyfriend's here. I have to go."
"Where is he?" Elsa asked immediately.
Even though she knew what Caitlin's boyfriend did for a living, she still hadn't seen what he looked like.
"There," Caitlin pointed across the street. "That's him."
Gertrude and Elsa followed her gaze.
Across the street, a black car was parked. Leaning against the driver's side door was a tall, striking man in a black trench coat. He was looking down at his phone, but even from a distance, they could feel the powerful aura emanating from him.
With so many people around, even Caitlin, as thick-skinned as she was, felt a little embarrassed being held so tightly. She patted his back. "Alright, alright, there are people everywhere. Let me go."
"No," Gordon's lips were almost touching her skin. "I haven't held you enough."
"People are watching us," Caitlin reminded him.
Gordon's lips parted slightly. "Not even God himself could make me let go. There's nothing illegal about hugging my own girlfriend."
With that, he gently bit her on the neck.
Perhaps it was a physiological attraction.
He loved the way she smelled, and he loved to bite her.
"Ouch, Gordon, are you a dog?"
Whenever they were alone, he would bite her a hundred times a day.
"Mhm, whatever you say I am. But I'm not letting go until I've had enough."
"Not even if God himself shows up?" Caitlin raised an eyebrow, challenging him.
"Of course," Gordon replied. "A gentleman's word is his bond."
Suddenly, Gordon's expression changed. He looked like he was facing a formidable enemy. He instantly released Caitlin and stood up straight, transforming into an elegant gentleman. His hands were clasped respectfully in front of him, and he didn't even dare to lift his head. If one listened closely, his voice trembled slightly. "Good evening, sir. Ma'am."
No one knew how nervous Gordon was at that moment.
It was over. It was all over.
How did he get caught again? Would he ever be allowed to marry into the Gonzales family?

So happy for Carey, the reunion with her family is touching. Can we read more of Caitlin and Gordon? Readers are forgetting that Caitlin has a boyfriend by the way. Is it normal for their relationship to be erased in the storyline?...
Update please......
But where is Gordon?...
