THE DIVORCE GAMBIT From Dumped Wife to CEO's Forever novel Chapter 993

Caitlin was beautiful, smart, and kind, and she never looked down on anyone. She embodied everything Gertrude had ever imagined Miss Gonzales to be.

Even if Caitlin wasn't Miss Gonzales, Gertrude believed the real one should be just like her—not someone like Charis.

"Ahem," Caitlin cleared her throat, looking at Gertrude and giving her a thumbs-up. "You've got a great eye!"

Gertrude was stunned. "Catie, does that mean you're the real high-society heiress?"

"That's right," Caitlin said with a slight nod.

Gertrude was ecstatic. "Elsa, see! What did I tell you? Catie is the real Miss Gonzales!"

She didn't doubt Caitlin's words for a second.

Elsa laughed. "Catie's just kidding, and you're actually falling for it! By that logic, I could say I'm Master Ninth's sister. Would you believe that?"

"I wouldn't," Caitlin chimed in.

"Why not?" Elsa looked at Caitlin. "Catie, can't you play along a little?"

Caitlin took a sip of water through her straw. "Because Gordon only has one older sister. He doesn't have a younger one."

Elsa shot back, "Then I'm his older sister!"

Caitlin shook her head again. "Alaina must be almost fifty. Do you think you look the part?"

Elsa was incredulous. "Catie, how do you know so much about Master Ninth's family?"

"Because my boyfriend's name is Gordon," Caitlin said matter-of-factly.

Elsa burst out laughing.

"Hahaha! Catie, you're hilarious."

If Elsa hadn't met Caitlin's boyfriend, she might have actually believed her.

Seeing them approach, Charis offered, "If you two don't mind, you can have the rest of this dessert."

"Mind? Of course not! We'd be honored to eat your leftovers." Yvette immediately grabbed a fork and started eating the remaining dessert before recounting what had just happened in the dorm. "That Caitlin is so shameless! How dare she impersonate you!"

Hearing this, Charis rolled her eyes. "Utterly shameless."

The nerve of some girl named Caitlin, trying to pass herself off as Tammie Gonzales.

Ridiculous.

Just then, a thought seemed to strike Charis. Her expression grew serious as she looked at Yvette and Nicolette. "By the way, did you tell them my real identity in the dorm today?"

"We did," Nicolette nodded. "Miss Gonzales, you should have seen how shocked Gertrude and Elsa were when they heard who you really are!"

Nicolette had expected to please Charis with this news, but instead, Charis's face darkened even more. "Today is one thing, but from now on, you are not to reveal my true identity to anyone without my permission!"
