Chapter 2 Not Charming Enough

Evelyn Hart laughed bitterly at herself. The people she’d loved with all her heart treated her like this. What else could she expect?

“Don’t touch my photo!”

Ethan Miller and William Miller came home. As soon as William Miller saw Evelyn Hart holding the photo, he charged at her like a little cannonball, snatching the photo and hugging it tightly.

Evelyn Hart turned pale and curled her fingers unconsciously.

Chapter 2 Not Charming Enough

Fed up, Evelyn Hart snapped, “If you don’t sign, we’ll see each other in court.”

With that, she left.

Ethan Miller watched her leave, feeling inexplicably annoyed.

He thought he’d made enough concessions. In seven years of marriage, he’d been faithful. He’d never skimped on giving Evelyn Hart anything, whether it was material things or status.

Sure, he might not have spent as much time with them, but he’d been really busy.

He’d thought she understood.

He couldn’t fathom why something as simple as taking Leah Foster to the hospital had made her act like this.

Ethan Miller took a sip of tea, planning to talk to Evelyn Hart later.

But when he got to the bedroom, she wasn’t there. The room felt emptier than usual. When he opened the closet to get ready for bed, he realized all her clothes were gone.

Furious, Ethan Miller stormed out of the villa, slamming the door behind him.

Not long after, Evelyn Hart heard William Miller crying next door, calling out for his dad.
