The Don's Orphan Wife Is A Mafia Empire Princess (Elara) novel Chapter 52

Chapter 41 How Dare You Hit Me?

“Since you said so, I won’t be too polite.”

Some things were left unsaid, and Evelyn Hart understood. She smiled and teased Grayson Hayes.

Grayson Hayes was right. She wouldn’t stay like this.

The two of them had dinner together, and the atmosphere was very harmonious, as if they had been friends for years.

Evelyn Hart felt relaxed, and it even seemed like she had returned to her carefree girlhood.

After dinner, it was already ten o’clock at night. Grayson Hayes offered to send Evelyn Hart home.

Evelyn Hart didn’t refuse. When they arrived at her place, she waved goodbye to Grayson Hayes.

“I’m here. See you tomorrow.”

Grayson Hayes looked at Evelyn Hart with a gentle smile. It was as if he was looking at a lively and optimistic girl.

Dazed by Evelyn Hart’s smile, Grayson Hayes’ heart skipped a beat. He drove away, but his heart couldn’t calm down.

Evelyn Hart watched the car drive away, a hint of a smile in her eyes.

She felt that she and Grayson Hayes were very compatible. Even in the years when she had the best relationship with Ethan Miller, they didn’t have such a tacit understanding.

In a good mood, Evelyn Hart bounced home like a little girl.

All the tension in her heart finally had a moment of relief.

On the other hand.

Unlike the relaxed atmosphere around Evelyn Hart, Leah Foster felt headache. .

Old Mrs. Miller was shocked by Evelyn Hart’s change and didn’t even care about her son and grandson. She was just depressed beside them.

Ethan Miller was also in a very bad mood, sitting on the sofa, looking lost.

After Evelyn Hart left, at William Miller’s strong invitation, Leah Foster then stayed in the guest room.

William Miller’s mind was filled with the look Evelyn Hart had given him at the end. He was flustered and distracted all night.

Leah Foster was very unhappy seeing the distracted expressions of the father and son.

She changed her clothes and came down. Her stomach was growling, and the servant had prepared dinner again:

Leah Foster called the father and son to eat.

“William, Ethan, come and eat.”

William Miller and Ethan Miller came back to their senses and sat at the dining table.

Looking at the variety of food on the table, Ethan Miller frowned slightly. He had no appetite.

Leah Foster noticed his mood. She served a bowl of porridge and placed it in front of Ethan Miller. “Ethan, what’s wrong? Don’t you like the food? How about having a bowl of porridge first?”

Ethan Miller didn’t say anything. He picked up the spoon and took a sip, almost vomiting.

The porridge didn’t taste bad, but compared to what Evelyn Hart had made for him, it was worlds apart.

Moreover, there was coriander in the porridge, which he hated, and a lot of sugar was added. The porridge wasn’t cooked well, and he had trouble swallowing it.

Leah Foster didn’t understand why Ethan Miller kept frowning. But she was hungry and didn’t have the energy to care about Ethan Miller, so she just pretended not to notice.

William Miller across the table was more straightforward. He spat out the food and slapped the table hard.

Chapter 41 How Dare You Hit Me?

“Where’s the seaweed crumbs? I want the seaweed crumbs.”

Leah Foster cursed in her heart but smiled on the surface and stood up.

“William wants to eat it. I’ll get it.”

Leah Foster quickly went and came back, putting the seaweed crumbs beside William Miller.

Unexpectedly, William Miller threw the box on the ground and said angrily, “This isn’t the one I want. I want the one I had before.”

Ethan Miller stopped eating. Leah Foster didn’t understand and called the nanny who cooked.

“Luna, which seaweed crumbs does William usually like? Bring them to him.”

The nanny lowered her head and said truthfully, “Miss Foster, that seaweed crumbs wasn’t bought. It was made by Mrs. Miller.

None of us have that skill.”

Leah Foster was taken aback and could only send the nanny away.

Her smile was forced. She sat beside William Miller and tried to persuade him.

“William, this seaweed crumbs is also delicious. Let’s eat this, okay? All kids love this.”

William Miller refused. He threw the dishes on the table.

He hadn’t seen Evelyn Hart for a week. Without her company, he felt down.

And because he didn’t like to eat, Leah Foster indulged him and always fed him junk food.

As a result, he was malnourished and felt very uncomfortable. He started crying and making a scene.

“I won’t eat. I want the ones my mom made. I don’t want to eat these. You go and bring my mom back.”

Leah Foster gritted her teeth and kept coaxing him.

“Be good, William. Let’s eat something, okay? Stop crying.”

William Miller’s stomach ached, and he refused to listen to Leah Foster. He cried even louder.

“Go away. All of you go away. I don’t want it. My stomach hurts. I want my mom.”

Children were prone to crying and making a scene.

Especially when someone tried to persuade them, they cried even harder.

Ethan Miller was right there. Even though Leah Foster was reluctant, she could only hold back her anger and coax William

Miller.

William Miller cried even more. During their interaction, William Miller hit Leah Foster several times.

Leah Foster’s earrings were pulled off by William Miller. The pain made her gasp.

She couldn’t take it anymore. When Ethan Miller wasn’t paying attention, she pinched William Miller’s butt hard.

William Miller was stunned and cried even louder. He stared at Leah Foster and shouted, “You hit me. How dare you hit me? Mom never hit me. You go away. Get out of my house.”

William Miller, who was pinched in pain, glared at Leah Foster in disbelief.

He was just a child, but his strength was surprisingly great. He pushed Leah Foster to the ground.

The servants in the villa saw this and all lowered their heads, pretending to be dead.

Ethan Miller heard William Miller’s words and looked at Leah Foster suspiciously. He questioned, “Leah, even if William was wrong, you shouldn’t have hit him.”

Leah Foster almost showed her true colors. Hearing Ethan Miller’s words, her reason returned quickly, and she found an excuse for herself.

“Ethan, you’ve seen how I treat William. How could I bear to hit him?”

Ethan Miller was silent, but his gaze on her was still full of doubt.

Leah Foster was filled with anger, but she could only pretend to be pitiful and wiped her tears.

“You saw what William did to me just now. My earrings fell off. Maybe I accidentally touched him. How could I really hit William?”

She looked desolate and smiled bitterly at Ethan Miller.

“I know William is your son, and you won’t believe me. But I have a clear conscience. If you don’t believe me, I can leave now.”

It had to be said that Leah Foster knew Ethan Miller very well.

This tactic of retreating to advance immediately dispelled Ethan Miller’s doubts. He said guiltily, “I’m sorry, Leah. It’s my fault. I misunderstood you. I hope you can forgive me.”

Leah Foster knew when to stop. She waved her hand, stood up, and pretended to be magnanimous.

“Forget it. I know you were worried about William. I don’t blame you.”

Ethan Miller was convinced, but William Miller was not so easily fooled. He stared at Leah Foster.

“You’re lying. You clearly hit me!”
