Chapter 43: To the Blazeheart Dominion

Jasmine’s POV

I am waiting outside the pack house for Karisma to come out with her parents, Philip and Elsa. They are not taking it well, knowing that they are not going to see Karisma for a while.

‘Like you were any better when Kai and Riley left our side to follow their own path. Kria said. I huffed at her while Dalinda chuckled softly at me.

Melody, Luca, Jeremiah, and Drake were all standing with me.

“Don’t look so sad, guys. You know that I will take care of her and give her proper training.” I said, trying to ease their minds. “We know, but we just got her back… We don’t want to send her away so soon.” Drake grumbled.

“Besides, Jasmine, we all know that you don’t hold back when you train others.” Luca said. Jeremiah snorted. “I don’t think Jasmine knows the meaning of those words, Luca.” He added. I rolled my eyes. Hey, it got you in shape in the few months you were in Edolas. Imagine how in shape our little princess will be once I am done with her.” I said proudly.

We had a week and two days before her 18th birthday. So Karisma and I will be spending the next week in the Carverns, giving me seven months to train her hard. She has the power, but her past is holding her back. I need to do everything I can to get her to let it out.

“Where are Kai and Riley?” I asked, looking around for my children. Estarossa has told me how Kai has been reacting to his true mate being near once more, but thankfully, the scent–changing anklet that she wears hides her true scent from him.

I know he is protective and confused, but the law states that those underage are not allowed to know who their true mate is until they are of age. The only places that those laws are not enforced are the dragon kingdom and the land of the fae… Moonacre.

As the meaning of time is not the same for those within those kingdoms, their leaders allow them to interact and speak freely to their mates, so long as nothing sexual happens. They see no reason to keep true mates apart.

Not that many fae get mated to anyone outside their kingdom often anyway. Most fae think of themselves as superior to those in the mortal realm and never leave their kingdom, and choose their own mates within. Robin was an expectation because I fought for him and made a deal with the fairy queen myself.

I sigh as I shake my head. All I need to do is make sure that until her birthday, Karisma keeps that anklet on and keeps my son in the dark a little longer. So far, Titan can only tell that his mate is alive, not how far she is away from him.

I don’t need my son or his beast to be in any pain because they can not claim her just yet.

“Are you alright, Jasmine?” Melody asked. I smiled at her and nodded. “Just pushing back the headache!

know I will get as soon as Kai finds out the truth.” I told her. She winces and nods. Kai is not going to be

happy with any of us. Knowing that we had his mate and didn’t tell him.

I am sure that he thought something was wrong with him, as he has had no interest in any female, even those who throw themselves at him, and now all of a sudden he is not only interested, but is reacting to a girl he had just met a few days ago. Plus, having the fact that her true scent is hidden from him has to be

adding to the confusion.

Thankfully, the only ones who know the truth are only a few, other than Meoldy, her mates, and myself. Sabrina and Estarossa only know because they were there when we had to tell Elsa and Philip. Like Karisma’s parents, they needed to know so they could help keep an eye on the two.

I know the mother royal needs to be with her true mate, but Karisma’s body could not handle accepting Kai’s heart fires now. I have only seen it happen once, but when a male dragon gave his heart’s fires to a frail human, the flames burned her from the inside out and ended up killing her.

The male then had to be put down as his true mate was lost to him. It was said that it took the dragon king

himself to put the male down as his power went on a rampage. Once her powers are unlocked, then his

heart fires would not harm her.

I hear the doors open and see Karisma coming down. Alpha Philip and Luna Elsa follow close behind her,

along with Jason and Willow. Melody told me that those were Karisma’s brother and best friend. Willow

dashed down the stairs ahead of Karisma and stood in front of me. “Is there any way I could go with you

guys and train with Kari? I am part vampire, too.” She said with a pleading expression.

I gave her a sad smile and shook my head. “Even though you are part vampire, your wolf side is too

dominant. You would age faster in the Caverns.” I told her honestly. Jason looked confused. “How would

she age faster if time moved more slowly in the caverns?” He asked.

“Because one day here equals a month in the caverns. Since Karisma and I will be gone for a week, that

would be seven full months. When we return, there will not be much change, but if you or Willow were to

spend seven months there, you would physically age those seven months.” I explained.

Even though seven months doesn’t sound like a big change, it actually was. Especially since any injuries

we get in the caverns would need to be treated ASAP within the clinic that King Mathiras made right

outside the caverns.

Making sure broken bones were set and cared for properly, giving the time dilation. “Not even my alpha’s guard can come with us, so I have extra food pills and healing crystals from Ren.” I said, trying once more to ease her parents‘ minds.

They nodded and hugged their daughter closely. “We will see you once you return.” Luna Elsa said, kissing Karisma on the temple. “We have to return to Starlight today, but we will be right back here in Royal Moon for when you return home, my little one.” Alpha Philip said.

Karisma smiled and hugged them both. “I love you, Papa. Mother, I will train hard and come home in one piece.” she said. Luna Elsa, and Melody both glared at me. “She’d better come home in one piece.” They

you, and you came out okay.” I said.
