Chapter 377

The curtain of the security scanner was suddenly yanked aside. A zombie in a security guard uniform leapt straight out from the checkpoint.

“Raarh!”

Its blood-red mouth gaped wide as it shot toward Hayley like an arrow off a bow.

It was a speed-enhanced zombie!

Hayley raised her hand. An air barrier snapped into place, stopping the zombie cold. She immediately drew the saber from her back and chopped the zombie down in a single strike.

“Raarh!”

Unfortunately, even though Hayley moved quietly, the security zombie made an earsplitting racket.

When its head hit the ground, it let out a shrill, dying scream.

In an instant, every zombie in the Line 2 transfer area was alerted.

“Get inside. Now!” Hayley shouted to everyone.

At that moment, no one bothered sneaking anymore. Everyone broke into a full sprint, footsteps slapping loudly as they charged forward.

Kit reached the rolling shutter first. He yanked at it and frowned. “It’s locked!”

“Griffin, pick it!” Hayley called out immediately.

Griffin, who was suddenly named, felt speechless.

He stepped out of the crowd, smoothly pulled out a piece of wire, and went to work on the lock. Breaking into doors was his specialty.

A second later, the first lock popped open with a click.

But when Griffin pulled upward, several more locks clattered down. “Captain Gorgeous, there are multiple locks on the inside.”

“Keep opening them!”

Griffin sighed.

“Hold it up,” he said, having others lift the shutter just enough. He then reached inside, feeling around for

each lock.

With loud clatters, several heavy chains were undone one after another. Just as he reached the final lock, the zombies were already piling up outside, with only Hayley’s air barrier holding them back.

Right then, a foot suddenly stomped down on his hand.

“What are you trash doing here? You think this is somewhere you’re allowed to enter? Garbage host you

should be zombie feed!”

An arrogant male voice rang out from behind the shutter

Hearing the voice, Hayley glanced back. Inside the mall, a group of people had appeared at some point

The man at the front stood just behind the shutter, his foot grinding down on Griffin’s hand He looven at the ragged group outside and slowly broke into a contemptuous, twisted smile.

Anyone foolish enough to wander into their territory was as good as dead. In his eyes, they were nothing more than zombie bait.

He found himself looking forward to the spectacle, imagining those refugees being torn to pieces one by

one.

Bang!

Hayley fired a single shot. The man dropped on the spot.

“Griffin, keep opening it!” she shouted.

Click!

Following Hayley’s clean gunshot, the final lock snapped open.

With a loud crash, the rolling shutter was yanked up. The people inside hadn’t even had time to react.

When they finally did, they were staring down rows of black gun barrels and a dense crowd surging straight toward them.
