The Endgame Chronicles (by Hugh White) novel Chapter 612

Chapter 612

Max looked at the pill Hayley held out to him. `

Unlike Leena, he didn’t hesitate for even a second. He took the pill and swallowed it immediately.

Leena might not know Hayley that well, but Hayley had saved both Max and his father’s lives.

Ryan was gone now, but Max would never forget what she had done.

She had given him his first real full meal after everything collapsed. She had shared precious supplies, even seasoning those were worth their weight in gold. She had also helped him become the Level One manager.

That was the only reason he had been able to gain a foothold in Ark Three.

After Ryan died, Max felt like there was only one person left in the world he could truly trust, and that was Hayley.

He swallowed the strength-enhancement pill in one gulp.

For a moment, he didn’t feel anything.

“What was that?” he asked curiously.

Hayley nodded lazily toward the corner of the room. “Try lifting that wooden planter.”

Max turned to look.

The planter stood over six feet tall, with a huge ceramic base. The moment he saw it, his heart sank. There was no way he lift something that heavy.

Still, he followed Hayley’s instructions. He walked over, grabbed the base of the planter, and gave it a hard pull upward

The next second, something unbelievable happened.

The massive planter, easily 300 pounds, lifted straight into the air.

Max stared at it in shock as he held it up. Then he quickly set it back down.

“Is this thing made of plastic or something? Why does it feel so light?”

He knocked on the planter with his fist, trying to check if it was take.

The next moment.

The thick ceramic pot shattered, leaving a large hole where his fist had but

Chapter 2-

When Max took them, the weight of what she had given him settled deep in his chest.

“I’ll keep doing everything the way you told me to.”

Hayley nodded, satisfied.

She had planted seeds in Ark Two and Ark Three. Sooner or later, both of them would grow.

“Oh, by the way.” Max suddenly remembered. “I almost forgot the main thing. The meeting’s over. Our base director want speak with you.”

“Sure.”

Hayley stood up. “Your director came in person?”
