The Endgame Chronicles (by Hugh White) novel Chapter 718

Chapter 718

“Let me check.”

The others snapped out of it and rushed over. They got up from their seats and started inspecting the

machine

The longer they checked, the wider their eyes got.

When they finished, they turned to B179, stunned. “There’s nothing wrong.”

Nothing wrong.

What did that even mean?

Did that mean… The woman in front of them really had all five elemental gifts and even super rare ones?

Was that even possible?

“I need to report this.” B179 recovered from his shock and hurried off.

Hayley stayed where she was. “What exactly does this thing test?”

The staff member who had been running the machine looked at her differently now. The cold edge was gone, replaced with something closer to awe.

“Do you really have that many gifts?”

Hayley raised a brow and stepped off the platform. “This tests that?”

“Yes,”

“Oh.” She shrugged lightly. “Guess your machine works pretty well.”

Everyone around her just stared.

Hayley had just discovered something useful. She decided to take this machine back with her.

B179 never came back.

Hayley’s group was made to wait where they were. After a while, a C-level personnel member arrived and

sent them all back to their room.

The moment Hayley revealed even a hint of her gifts, everything changed.

The way people looked at her shifted completely. Before, they had been wary. Now, they didn’t even dare meet her eyes.

They knew she was strong. They just hadn’t realized how strong. That explosion of color… No one could even tell what they had seen.

How many gifts did she really have?

People who used to feel proud just for being strength or speed-enhanced suddenly felt small. They never expected Hayley to have so many gifts. Through all of it, she hadn’t said a word.

She hadn’t even used her gifts on them. When dealing with them, she only used a simple slap.

Barnaby and Garrick didn’t even dare look at her anymore. Tyler, who had thought about looking out for her before, could only feel ridiculous now.

Jocelyn was the most shaken.

She had been holding onto the idea that Hayley was the one who caused Eric’s death. Now, she realized that if Hayley really wanted him dead, she wouldn’t have had to touch him.

Thinking about how many gifts Hayley must have, she couldn’t even bring herself to look at Hayley.

Winona, on the other hand, had rushed straight to Hayley the moment she saw that burst of light.

She knew that Hayley was strong. Hayley was stronger than anyone, and she had been holding back the

whole time.
