Chapter 721
“You don’t need to know who I am. Just tell me, is Ruby dead?” the woman said.
“Why would I tell you anything?” Hayley shot back without hesitation.
She didn’t indulge people like this. Push her a little more, and she would answer with her hands.
“You little…” The woman’s face twisted with anger.
“Ma’am.” Someone nearby spoke up.
The woman seemed to remember why she was here. Her jaw tightened. “All of you, out. I’ll test her myself.”
The room went quiet for a second.
Then, one by one, they left. The door slammed shut behind them.
The moment it closed, the woman turned back to Hayley, her expression cold and sharp.
“You really are just like your aunt,” she said, “but this is my territory. If you don’t start talking, I’ll crush you where you stand.”
Smack!
The slap landed clean.
The woman went flying.
When she hit the ground, she stared up at Hayley, stunned. “You actually hit me?”
“Why wouldn’t I?” Hayley stepped forward. “Did I do anything to you? You come in running your mouth, throwing threats around like you own the place. I’m not putting up with that.”
Hayley raised her hand again and landed another hit.
Right then, flames erupted from the woman’s palm. They surged forward in an instant, roaring toward Hayley.
A level-six fire-element Gifted!
The woman’s eyes burned with something dark, almost gleeful.
If she couldn’t kill Ruby, then killing her niece would do!
They even looked alike, and both had that annoying presence.
The woman was determined to kill Hayley today. She was a level-six fire-element Gifted. These flames could burn someone through in seconds.
Hayley was as good as dead!

Just as she thought Hayley had already been burned to a crisp, the flames in her palm were suddenly swallowed by something stronger. A heavier, more overwhelming fire surged back and closed in around
her.
What the…
Her eyes widened.
The fire turned on her.
Just before it hit, water burst from her body, forming a barrier.
She didn’t only have fire abilities, but water, too. She was double-Gifted!
However, the barrier held for half a second. Suddenly, a massive surge of water slammed straight through it.
Crash!
It shattered instantly.
The woman stared at Hayley in disbelief.
Whatever abilities she had, Hayley had them, too. Hayley wasn’t just multi-gifted; her abilities were at a higher level.
Much higher.
How was that even possible?
A crashing wave slammed the woman into the wall with a heavy thud, and water drenched her from head to toe. Her bones ached as if she had just been run over.
Before she could even process it, Hayley grabbed her.
“That’s all you’ve got, and you’re strutting around like you own the place? Who do you think you’re talking down to? I’ve seen arrogant people before, but not like you. Running your mouth, asking if Aunt Ruby’s dead, acting like you can kill someone with a flick of your finger. Show me something, then. Come on!
“You’ve got no skill, but you’ve sure got plenty of attitude. I’ve never seen someone so weak yet so mean. Where do you even get that kind of confidence? Who told you that you’re untouchable? Has this world spoiled you rotten or something?”
