"They have no idea how coding works. The only way they got into the arena is if Jillian snuck them in," Sylvia murmured, tilting her head to gauge Killian's reaction.

Killian looked away, his tone brutally cold and dismissive. "It doesn't matter. If they want to sit in the crowd and cheer, let them."

Sylvia dug her nails into her palms, a sharp spike of anxiety piercing her chest.

Years ago, she had never considered Jillian a threat. Back then, Jillian was a pathetic, invisible housewife with zero influence.

But now, Jillian navigated high-society events effortlessly. Worse, Connor was witnessing his biological mother shining brightly in her element. It was entirely possible he would start gravitating back toward her.

Sylvia forced down her rising panic and lowered her voice. "You're going to keep running into Jillian at these kinds of events. If you two keep seeing each other, she might start getting ideas about rekindling your old flame."

Killian shot her a dark, warning glare.

Sylvia immediately played the victim, offering a delicate shrug. "I was just joking! Don't be mad."

"There was never a flame to begin with. There is nothing to rekindle."

Sylvia wisely kept her mouth shut and went back to cheering enthusiastically for Connor.

Across the aisle, Judith and Lydia had also locked eyes on Killian and Sylvia.

They looked incredibly glamorous. Their matching outfits were simple but perfectly tailored, making them look like A-list celebrities slumming it with regular parents. They stood out so blatantly that it was impossible not to stare.

Lydia was practically vibrating with rage. She hissed under her breath, "Is that Killian's little mistress? She's not even that pretty. Our Jill is ten times more gorgeous. Why does she get to be here for Con's big day?"

Judith let out a heavy sigh, utterly defeated. "She's with Killian. We can't exactly stop him from bringing her."

"I don't care if she throws herself at Killian, but she better stay the hell away from Con! I won't let her poison that boy's mind," Lydia spat fiercely.
