Natalie packed up and moved out of the Quincy estate, relocating to a luxury downtown villa arranged by Sienna.
"Stay here for now until Eleanor cools off. You young people prefer living alone anyway, don't you? It's more comfortable here." Sienna tried to sound reassuring, but a faint coldness lingered in her voice.
Natalie packed her things with her head down, tears silently sliding down her cheeks.
The scam was a done deal. The police promised to try and recover the funds, but everyone knew it was a targeted hit. The chances of getting any cash back were practically zero, and the culprits had likely already fled the country.
The entire Quincy family, including Eleanor, inevitably found out. While Eleanor hadn't explicitly said a word, her patience was entirely gone. With no other options, Sienna had been forced to evict Natalie.
"What about Killian? Is he just abandoning me too?" Natalie's voice was violently hoarse.
Sienna hesitated, too ashamed to admit she had lost control and slapped Jillian, nearly hitting Connor in the process. She figured that was the sole reason Killian was freezing her out. Striking Jillian hadn't triggered him, but raising a hand to his son was what pushed him over the edge.
"Just stay where you're told and stop asking questions," Sienna brushed her off tiredly. Deep down, she wanted to interrogate Natalie about why she had fiercely insisted Jillian was involved, even claiming she had seen it herself. But knowing Natalie's dramatic tendencies, she swallowed the question.
"I'm sorry, Sienna. I have no one left but you." Seeing Sienna turn to leave, Natalie threw herself forward, wrapping her arms around the older woman and sobbing pathetically.
Sienna's lingering anger began to dissolve. Seeing her daughter acting so helpless, and remembering how the rest of the family had thrown her out, a deep ache of sympathy washed over her.
"I never said I wouldn't take care of you."
Meanwhile, Madeline Xavier and Silas Xavier learned the entire story straight from Sylvia.
