"Why would you invite her over?" Eleanor scowled. "She's divorcing Killian. She won't be part of our family anymore."

Sienna kept a polite smile on her face, but she paid absolutely no mind to the complaint.

She looked at Killian. Seeing no reaction from him, she took the initiative to head out to the garden.

No one knew what was said between them, but unsurprisingly, Jillian declined.

"It's Aunt Patricia's birthday. If you join us, everyone will be harmonious and happy."

A while later, the adults finished their meal. Sienna sat under an awning in the garden, watching the kids from afar, lost in thought.

Surprisingly, Killian seemed completely calm. He even poured a cup of tea and slid it over to her.

"We haven't seen each other in a while. You look like you've lost a lot of weight."

In private, Killian avoided calling her "Mom" at all costs, and Sienna didn't care either.

Sienna touched her cheek. "I don't think so. I'm just the same as always."

"You don't need to hide from me. I don't do things that bring me no benefit," Killian said lightly.

Sienna nodded. Killian was right. Leaking that secret wouldn't benefit either of them. Maintaining their current relationship was the best move.

"Is Jillian really taking you to court?" Sienna asked.

Killian nodded. "The first hearing was two days ago."
