Hearing the exchange between Killian and Connor from the living room, Jillian's expression didn't change. Feigning ignorance, she kept her head down and continued chopping vegetables.

Completely oblivious to his father's mood, Connor trotted back to Jillian's side. Watching her cook intently, he chirped, "Mom, let me help!"

He picked up a small kitchen knife, trying to mimic an adult, and reached for the tomatoes nearby.

"That's not how you cut it."

Jillian gently guided his small hands from behind, patiently teaching him how to score a cross on the top of the tomato before dicing it evenly.

"So that's how you do it! You're amazing, Mom, you're even a pro at cooking!" Connor stared at her with absolute adoration.

Jillian smiled, her eyes crinkling. "Do you like cooking?"

Connor nodded vigorously.

"But you're still too little. Using knives and fire is dangerous. You can learn slowly when you're older."

"Okay!" Connor agreed enthusiastically. "When I grow up, I'll cook for you every day!"

Jillian's heart warmed. She crouched down, playfully tapping his little nose, and instructed softly, "When you grow up and meet a girl you like, you have to learn to cook for her too."

Connor blinked his big round eyes, looking a bit confused.

Looking at the innocent child, Jillian had her own deliberate intentions.

A boy's manners needed to be cultivated from a young age. Especially for someone like Connor—a young master raised in extreme wealth, constantly catered to by everyone around him. She absolutely refused to let him grow up reliant on others, taking their sacrifices for granted.

Just like the arrogant man sitting out in the living room, who spent his entire life expecting everyone to accommodate him without ever learning to show basic consideration.

With pointed intention, she murmured softly, "Remember this: if you love someone, you have to learn how to take care of her, share the burden, and be considerate. That's the only way someone will truly love you back."

"I'll remember!" Connor nodded obediently.

"Grow up to be a good man who takes responsibility. Don't be a selfish jerk," Jillian casually added before standing up to continue working. Connor stayed right beside her, happily playing the role of her little assistant.
